A finger and hand brace includes an elongated brace body applied lengthwise to the wrist and finger regions of the hand, with multiple straps extending from the brace body. The straps have sufficient length to wrap about at least two of the hand, wrist, a finger or fingers. Hook-and-loop fasteners on the brace body retain the straps in a wrapped condition. At least two elongated stiffeners are carried by the brace body inside pockets. A separation line, located at about the wrist, extends laterally across the brace body and enables the brace body to be separated into a distal/finger portion discrete from a proximal/wrist portion. The stiffeners and pockets are likewise separable into distal and proximal portions. The distal portion of the brace body includes a flap that holds the distal portion to the proximal portion of the brace body.

Universal hand brace

A mobile, self-contained cold therapy device having a container including an internal liquid or ice water tank, air and water pumps for driving air and water to a cold therapy pad with internal air and water bladders, wherein the pad is worn on an injured region of a user. The device includes an electronic controller for controlling air and water flow to and from the bladders, and a holder for supporting the container and worn on the user's body for portable, hands-free mobility while receiving cold therapy. Nipples are incorporated into a thermal conduction surface of the pad and reciprocated into the user's injured region by an air bladder to further reduce edema.

Mobile cold therapy device

An elbow-forearm anti-rotation support system and process that do not require a hardenable material. The system includes an orthopedic support such as a wrist-hand orthosis, wrist-hand-thumb orthosis, or cast, joined to a bottle-shaped forearm wrap with opposed flaps formed into a clamshell. Proximal elbow flaps include a center elbow region that extends from the proximal end of the forearm wrap. A U-shaped reinforcement stay is disposed on the center elbow region and attaches to the forearm flaps. Cross straps extending from the proximal elbow flaps attach to the forearm flaps, and a closure strap secures the two flaps together. Hook and loop fasteners extending from the distal edge of the forearm wrap attach the forearm wrap to the orthopedic support.

Elbow-forearm anti-rotation orthosis

A wrist-forearm-elbow anti-rotation support system and process that do not require a hardenable material. The system includes an orthopedic support such as a wrist-hand orthosis, wrist-hand-thumb orthosis, joined to a bottle-shaped forearm wrap with opposed flaps formed into a clamshell. Proximal elbow flaps include a center elbow region that extends from the proximal end of the forearm wrap. Attaching straps and/or cross straps extending from the proximal elbow flaps attach to the forearm flaps and may crisscross. Hook and loop fasteners extending from the distal edge of the forearm wrap attach the forearm flaps.

Wrist-forearm-elbow anti-rotation orthosis

An ankle brace includes a foot and ankle holder made from a flexible fabric having a foot portion transitioning to an upper ankle portion with opposite first and second sides. The upper ankle portion has an open front and back. A rear portion is attached to partially enclose the open back. The rear portion has opposite first and second panels that removably attach to the first and second sides of the upper ankle portion, respectively. An optional tongue is located at the open front and laces overlie the tongue. A rigid heel support is disposed inside the foot portion, and the heel support may include pivoting joints. Elongated support straps extend under the foot portion and wrap around the ankle holder. Retention straps extend around the ankle holder.

A unitary flexible body having an anchor portion wrapping about the wrist to secure the body there, the anchor portion freely offset from the thumb, palm and dorsum of the hand, the body having a support extension extending distally from the anchor portion in supporting relation with the Thenar Emminence of the palm, and extending part way about the thumb via the web space between the thumb and forefinger, and having terminal attachment to said anchor portion.

Non-immobilizing thumb brace

In a thumb wrap, the combination comprising a user's hand and wrist flexible wrap, a generally tubular portion to receive the user's thumb, said tubular portion being integral with the hand and wrap, a securing strap endwise seamlessly integral with the hand and wrist wrap, and extending with elongation to be wrapped over the hand and wrist wrap palmwise and endwise of the tubular portion and then to be wrapped between the user's thumb and forefinger, and then back over the hand and wrist wrap for tensioned tightening and for the effecting thumb positively supported securement.

Hand and/or wrist support apparatus, comprising in combination, a first brace configured for application to the hand and/or wrist of the user, and a second brace configured for application over at least a portion of the first brace, each brace configured for in-place retention, providing support to a substantial portion of the hand and/or wrist of the user, including the thumb.

A tightener for orthopedic use, includes a guide loop having opposite sections, a first orthopedic strap anchored to one section for passing about a user's arm, leg or like member, and then passage through the loop to extend in a first tightening direction, a second orthopedic strap anchored to another loop section to extend in a second and opposite tightening direction, whereby the two straps extending in the first and second directions can be manually pulled in those directions to tighten the first strap about the member, and two tensioned straps can then be connected by push together connection to tightened extents of the first strap to hold tension transmission via the loop sections and straps.
