A self-contained well water system is designed to be interposed between an external well pump and a plumbing system of a building. The system requires an installer or building owner to make only three basic connections for fully-functional operation: a single water inlet connection from the well pump to the well water system, a single water outlet connection from the well water system to a main input line of the building plumbing system, and a single power connection to provide electrical power to the electrical components of the system, and may also distribute power out to the well pump. The remaining components and the connections therebetween are configured and factory-assembled for maximum performance and efficiency.

In-line pressure boosting system and method

A pressure boosting system and a method of using the same to increase fluid pressure in a fluid distribution system are disclosed. The pressure boosting system may be installed 'in-line' with the fluid distribution system. The pressure boosting system includes a submersible pump and a controller that may be configured to control the submersible pump based on an outlet pressure if inlet pressure is below a threshold. The pressure boosting system may also control the submersible pump based on a flow of the fluid through a pump unit as a function of the inlet pressure. A mounting bracket may be moveably coupled to a tank of the pressure boosting system.

A multistage submersible pump includes interstage sealing operable to inhibit upstream fluid recirculation, while also having a reduced or eliminated wear-in procedure. A wear-in bearing surface erodes during an initial, wear-in procedure of the pump, and a low-friction service bearing surface slowly engages as the wear-in procedure is completed. Both the wear-in and service bearing surfaces are integrated into a single, stamped stainless steel housing component, such that axial tolerance between the two surfaces is tightly controllable. The pump impeller provides corresponding wear-in and service bearing elements formed as part of a single monolithic component, thereby also offering tight axial tolerance control for the bearing elements which engage the bearing surfaces of the cup component. During initial operation of the pump, only a small portion of the wear-in bearing element is required to wear down to allow engagement of the service bearing element, thereby minimizing the required time to achieve optimal pump performance and enabling the use of a wide range of materials for the pump impeller.

Submersible pump thrust surface arrangement

A submersible pump, and method of making the submersible pump, is disclosed. The pump comprises a housing, a plurality of impeller stages serially disposed in the housing from a bottom impeller stage to a top impeller stage, an impeller stage bypass hole extending through one of the diffusers and a housing bypass hole extending through the housing radially outwardly from one of the impeller stages.

Bypass system for purging air from a submersible pump

Systems and methods for condensate removal are disclosed. A reservoir may include a trap structure and a sediment trap may be disposed within the trap structure. The sediment trap may be positioned within the reservoir so that condensate flowing into the reservoir is filtered before flowing out of the reservoir.

Sediment trap system and method

A centrifugal pump includes plural pump stages, each comprising an impeller assembly, a stationary disc assembly and a diffuser assembly, all disposed about an impeller shaft. A floating impeller hub seal is supported by a diffuser assembly to minimize fluid recirculation. A thrust washer is disposed around the impeller shaft and is engageable with an impeller hub and the hub seal. A wear ring is secured to a disc assembly and engageable with a wear surface on the impeller.

Multistage pump

Within a check valve, a spring urges a poppet into the closed position. If the fluid flow through the valve attempts to reverse, the poppet will seal against the valve seat by a combination of spring resistance and fluid pressure, thereby preventing all or a significant portion of fluid flow back through the valve body. The poppet is retained in the valve body by a retainer or other suitable part or combination of parts that can be removed for service of the check valve assembly.
