An intraluminally implantable stent is formed of helically wound wire. The stent has a generally elongate tubular configuration and is radially expandable after implantation in a body vessel. The wire includes successively formed waves along the length of the wire. When helically wound into a tube, the waves are longitudinally nested along the longitudinal extent of the stent so as to form a densely compacted wire configuration. After radial expansion the stent maintains high radial compressive strength and wire density to retard tissue ingrowth.

Nested stent

An implantable textile prosthesis includes a first woven section having a tubular branch wall defining a fluid passageway therethrough. The tubular branch wall includes an elongate tubular extent and an asymptotically flared tubular extent, which is asymptotic with respect to the tubular branch wall. The asymptotically flared tubular extent includes a weaving pattern having a plurality of warp yarns and fill yarns and incorporating a gradual change in the number of warp yarns with respect to the fill yarns to provide a seamless and substantially fluid-tight transition region along said flared tubular extent. The tubular branch wall may be sutured to an elongate tubular main wall to provide an implantable tubular textile prosthesis particularly useful in branched end-to-side anastomoses. The tubular main wall may be heat-settably arched to resemble the natural arch of the aorta.

Aortic arch prosthetic graft

An implantable tubular textile prosthesis particularly useful in branched end-to-side anastomoses is provided. The prosthesis includes a first portion including an elongate tubular main wall which defines a fluid passageway therethrough, and a second portion including a tubular branch wall which extends laterally from the tubular main wall and which defines a fluid passageway therethrough. The tubular branch wall includes an elongate tubular extent and a contiguous flared tubular extent. The tubular branch wall is secured to the tubular main wall at the flared tubular extent to establish fluid communication between the passageways of the tubular main wall and the tubular branch wall. The flared tubular extent includes a gradual increase in diameter with respect to the tubular branch extent to provide a seamless and substantially fluid-tight transition between the tubular main wall and the tubular branch wall along the flared tubular extent.

A package assembly supports an implantable aortic arch graft in configuration for implantation. The aortic arch graft includes a main tube and plural branch tubes extending therefrom. A blister tray has a blister tray depression formed therein for accommodating the main tube and at least one of the branch tubes of the graft. A blister insert is insertably accommodating within the blister tray. The blister insert includes a blister insert depression formed in one surface thereof for accommodating another of the branch tubes of the graft. The blister insert maintains the branch tubes of the graft, supported by the blister tray, in spaced positioned from the branch tube supported by in the blister insert. A blister cover is removably disposed over the blister tray for covering the blister tray and enclosing the graft and the blister insert within the tray.

High strength and high density intraluminal wire stent

A vascular plug delivery system for in vivo delivery of a vascular plug to the site of a puncture in a blood vessel. The device utilizes flashback to ensure that the plug is properly positioned adjacent the puncture prior to delivery of such plug, thereby ensuring complete hemostasis of the puncture.

Vascular plug delivery system

A direct vision prostate balloon catheter for treating benign prostate hyperplasia to dilate a prostate gland to reduce constriction of the urethra is provided. The catheter includes an expandable balloon and a sighting device such as a cystoscope telescopic lens proximal to the veru montanum to assist in properly positioning the expandable member. The balloon can have a thickened distal end and an overlapping proximal end to prevent undesirable migration during expansion. Alternatively, the balloon can be mounted on two tubes, one slidable axially inside the other to control balloon extension during expansion of the balloon. This construction provides advantages such as proper dilation of the prostatic urethra and helps prevent undesirable dilation of the external sphincter.
