The present invention is directed to a manually actuated aspiration device, aspiration system and a method of use to enable and facilitate en bloc removal of undesirable intravascular material, including, but not limited to, thrombus, embolus, or vegetation through a working lumen of a suction cannula during minimally invasive percutaneous procedures. The aspiration device includes valves oriented in opposite direction to control the fluid flow through the aspiration system and into a waste collection component. Alternatively, the aspiration system further comprises a filter that removes undesirable intravascular material prior to reinfusing blood into a patient's vasculature.

Restenosis or neointimal formation may occur following angioplasty or other trauma to an artery such as by-pass surgery. This presents a major clinical problem which narrows the artery. The invention provides a balloon catheter with a particular electrode configuration. Also provided is a method whereby vascular cells in the area of the artery subjected to the trauma are subjected to irreversible electroporation which is a non-thermal, non-pharmaceutical method of applying electrical pulses to the cells so that substantially all of the cells in the area are ablated while leaving the structure of the vessel in place and substantially unharmed due to the non-thermal nature of the procedure.

Automated injection system disclosed in this application advantageously provides physicians with a simplified interface for selecting fluid sources, such as saline, contrast, or a mixture of both, to inject at high pressures. The injector system may comprise a multi-use subassembly, a single-use subassembly, a fitting to fluidly connect the multi-use and single-use subassemblies, a hand held controller, a user interface, and an injector housing.

A reinforced pole structure including a hollow pole with an interior surface and an access hand-hole therethrough near the bottom end and a base plate to which the bottom end of the pole is secured, the reinforced pole structure also including an elongate reinforcement device, preferably in the form of two elongate reinforcers, against the interior surface of the hollow pole, the lower edges of the reinforcers being welded to the pole at the bottom end and the hole-adjacent edge(s) of the reinforcers being welded to the lip of the hand-hole. Preferably, the reinforcers have a far-side pair of edges which, at least in positions opposite the hand-hole, are welded to the interior surface of the pole.

Reinforced pole structure

A roof panel clip that extends ten feet in length rather than the usual prior art one to two inches, enabling the clip to span the distance between two purlins to support roof panels over these distances. The extended length of the clip enables it to provide greater strength against uplift loads than that which was possible with the older narrower clips and this continuous clip can be installed more quickly than a series of the ususal smaller clips used to cover the same span.

A pole mounting system mountable on a footing and used for supporting vertical structures. The system includes a pole having a lower end terminating in a lower edge, a base plate having an opening, and ears attached transversely to the base plate adjacent to the opening. The pole is secured within the opening in the base plate to allow the base plate to provide improved structural support. The ears are vertically aligned with the pole and are welded to the pole along their upper edges. The lower edge of the pole is also welded to the base plate. The ears can be integrally formed from the base plate in a process whereby, first, interconnected slots are cut into the base plate such that the slots define the ears, and second, the ears are bent upward so that the ears can received the pole. No additional supports or weld pieces are necessary, so that the improved mounting system may provide sufficient support with two pieces, the pole and the base plate.
