A vehicle is disclosed that includes: a vehicle body defining a door frame; a vehicle door that is movably connected to the vehicle body; and an actuation system. The vehicle door includes: an inner panel that is secured to the door frame; an outer panel that is secured to the inner panel; a reinforcement that is secured between the inner panel and the outer panel; and a support bracket that is secured to the reinforcement and which includes a body with a generally planar configuration. In contrast to the door frame, which includes a metallic material, the inner panel and the outer panel each include a non-metallic material. The actuation system is connected to the vehicle door to facilitate opening and closure thereof and extends through the reinforcement and the support bracket.

Reinforcements and support brackets for vehicle doors

A rear door is movable between a door closed orientation covering a rear door opening and a gutter of a vehicle body structure, and a door open orientation exposing the rear door opening and the gutter. A four-bar linkage assembly supports the rear door for movement between the door open and the door closed orientations. The four-bar linkage includes a rearward member, a forward member and an extender. The rearward member has a first end pivotally attached to the gutter, a second end attached to the rear door and a protrusion spaced apart from the first and second ends. The forward member has a first end attached to the roof structure and a second end attached to the rear door. The extender has a lower end pivotally attached to the side wall and an upper end attached to the protrusion of the rearward member.

Rear door assembly

A vehicle latch testing assembly includes a base, a latch assembly fixed to the base, a striker assembly configured to engage the latch assembly, and a strain gauge connected to the striker assembly. An operating member is connected to the strain gauge and pivotally connected to the base. The operating member is configured to move between a first position and a second position to apply a first force to the latch assembly.

Vehicle latch testing assembly

A vehicle force measurement assembly includes a first rod, a second rod and an electronic controller. The first rod has a strain gauge mounted thereon. The first rod is dimensioned and configured to install to a first side of a vehicle door and a first side of a door opening of a vehicle body structure. The second rod is dimensioned and configured to install to a second side of the vehicle door and a second side of the door opening. The electronic controller is connected to the strain gauge and is wired and configured to detect forces applied to the first rod by the vehicle door in response to predetermined amounts of force being applied to the vehicle door.

Vehicle force measurement assembly

A hybrid door seal for a vehicle includes a first seal member, a second seal member, and a corner seal member. The first seal member is configured to be received by a channel in a door frame. The second seal member is configured to be received by the channel in a door frame. The corner seal member connects the first seal member and the second seal member. The first seal member, the second seal member and the corner seal member are integrally formed as a one-piece member.

Hybrid door seal for a vehicle

A rear door assembly includes a vehicle body structure, a rear door and a four-bar linkage assembly. The vehicle body structure has a roof structure and a side wall defining a rear door opening. The four-bar linkage assembly supports the rear door for movement between open and closed orientations. The four-bar linkage includes a rearward member, a support bracket and a forward member. A first end of the rearward member is pivotally attached to an upright portion of the side wall and a second end attached to the rear door. A rearward end of the support bracket is fixed to the roof structure and is cantilevered therefrom. The forward member has a first end attached to the rearward end of the support bracket and a second end attached to the rear door inboard of the rearward member. The first end of the rearward member is outboard of the support bracket.

A sash cover assembly for a vehicle includes a sash cover and a spacer cap. The sash cover includes a projection configured to be received by a sash of the vehicle. The spacer cap is connected to and surrounds the projection. The spacer cap is configured to prevent contact between the projection and the sash when the sash cover is connected to the sash.
