A system for processing medical device data can include a processor to receive a plurality of streaming time series of medical device data from medical devices, wherein the medical device data comprises machine data. The processor can also apply a plurality of case identification rules to the plurality of streaming time series of medical device data to identify portions of the plurality of streaming time series of medical device data representing clinical cases. The processor can also execute streaming analytics to apply a plurality of event detection rules to the portions of the plurality streaming time series of medical device data to identify events within each identified clinical case. The processor can generate one or more groups for the identified events based upon predefined recipients of notifications for the identified events and transmit event notifications for each of the identified events to the predefined recipients.

Systems and methods of medical device data collection and processing

A method of ventilator control that includes receiving machine data from a mechanical ventilator and detecting one or more clinical events in the received machine data. The method further includes evaluating the machine data within the detected one or more clinical events for compliance with lung protective ventilation (LPV) recommendations. The method further includes at least one of producing a visual indication or a graphical display of the evaluated compliance with the LPV recommendations and controlling the mechanical ventilator based on the evaluated compliance with the LPV recommendations.

Various methods and systems are provided for performing nasal high flow therapy. In one example, a method for respiratory support includes: delivering an air and oxygen mixture for nasal high flow therapy to a patient at a flow setting, the flow setting determined based on a peak inspiratory flow obtained during a previous, spontaneous breathing mode during mechanical ventilation of the patient. The flow setting may be a flow rate of a heated and humidified mixture of air and oxygen delivered via a high flow nasal cannula.

A system for monitoring anesthetic agents fill level in a vaporizer reservoir includes a camera configured to capture an image containing a sight glass on the vapor reservoir, just like, a processor, and an agent level module. The agent level module is executable to locate a sight glass portion within the image, an agent level edge within the sight glass portion, and minimum and maximum reference points within the image. A fill percentage is calculated based on a position of the agent level edge relative to the minimum and maximum reference points, and the remaining agent information is calculated based on the fill percentage and the known volume of the vaporizer reservoir.

Systems and methods of control of a mechanical ventilator include receiving machine data from a mechanical ventilator. A surgical event is detected in the received machine data. Clinical events within the surgical event are detected in the machine data. The machine data and the detected plurality of clinical events are evaluated for compliance with lung protective ventilation recommendations.
