A fully-connected mesh network includes a plurality of switches. A first switch receives a packet traveling through the mesh network from an external source node to an external destination node specified by the packet. A plurality of links, which are all included in a mesh link aggregation group (LAG), couple each possible pair of the switches by a respective single link. Each of the respective links is included individually in an individual LAG. Each of the switches is configured to receive a packet from another switch of the plurality of switches via only the mesh LAG, and each switch that receives a packet via the mesh LAG is configured to transmit the packet to another switch of the plurality of switches via only one of the individual LAGs. The packet travels to the destination node at most two hops across the plurality of switches.

Fully connected network

Fuse driver circuits, fuse driver testing circuitry, and methods for testing the fuse driver circuits using the testing circuitry are described. In some embodiments, the fuse driver circuit can be made using a fuse, a NMOS transistor, and a PMOS transistor. The drain of the NMOS transistor can be connected to the negative end of the fuse. The source of the NMOS transistor can be connected to ground. The drain of the PMOS transistor can be connected to a positive end of the fuse. The NMOS and PMOS transistors provide enhanced robustness to the fuse driver circuit in both undervoltage and overvoltage conditions. Other embodiments are also described.

Fuse driver circuits

In one general aspect, a method can include implanting a first dopant, simultaneously, in a portion of a laterally diffused metal oxide semiconductor (LDMOS) device and in a portion of a resistor device included in a semiconductor device. The method can also include implanting a second dopant, simultaneously, in a portion of the LDMOS device and in a portion of a bipolar junction transistor (BJT) device in the semiconductor device.

In one general aspect, a semiconductor processing method can include forming an N-type silicon region disposed within a P-type silicon substrate. The method can also include forming a field oxide (FOX) layer in the P-type silicon substrate where the FOX layer includes an opening exposing at least a portion of the N-type silicon region. The method can further include forming a reduced surface field (RESURF) oxide (ROX) layer having a first portion disposed on the exposed N-type silicon region and a second portion disposed on the FOX layer where the ROX layer includes a first dielectric layer in contact with the exposed N-type silicon region and a second dielectric layer disposed on the first dielectric layer. The method can further include forming a doped polysilicon layer having a first portion disposed on the first portion of the ROX layer and a second portion disposed on the second portion of the ROX layer.

Production of high-performance passive devices using existing operations of a semiconductor process

There is provided a method for fabricating a dual alloy structure that may in turn be machined to fabricate a rotary component such as an impeller for use in a gas turbine engine. The method provides a first titanium alloy and a second titanium alloy. The first titanium alloy displays characteristics, such as high strength, suitable for application in the bore area of an impeller. The second titanium alloy displays characteristics, such as high temperature creep resistance, suitable for use in the outer radial area of an impeller. A bore subelement is fabricated from the first titanium alloy. A body subelement is fabricated from the second titanium alloy. The bore subelement and body subelement are joined by inertia welding at a common welding surface. Each subelement and/or the resulting welded structure is heat treated to achieve a desired microstructure.

Method of manufacture of dual titanium alloy impeller

A method and apparatus is provided to analyze a dual wall structure having at least one hollow core therein and having the same unknown material sound velocities in walls and in post as well. A transducer is located in at least two different positions with respect to the structure, whereby the transducer propagates an ultrasonic wave toward the dual wall structure. A portion of the ultrasonic wave is reflected back to the transducer. One wave traverses a portion of the dual wall structure that has a core filled with a medium having a known material acoustic property. A second wave traverses a portion of the post that has an unknown material sound velocity. From time of flight measurements of the above mentioned waves, the wall thickness and core shift, if any, can be determined.

Dual wall turbine blade ultrasonic wall thickness measurement technique

A shroud is provided for separating an air turbine starter housing from a turbine wheel. The shroud comprises a ring and a bumper. The ring is configured to be disposed between the turbine wheel and the housing and has an outer peripheral surface and an inner peripheral surface that defines a flow channel. The bumper is coupled to and extends radially inwardly from the ring inner peripheral surface and defines a bumper section of the ring flow channel. At least a portion of the bumper section has a cross-sectional flow area that is less than another cross sectional flow area of the ring flow channel.

Shroud for an air turbine starter

An electric switch assembly having a switch arm movable from 'on' to 'off' position and a cover plate through which the switch arm extends. The cover plate has an integral guard providing a stop substantially abutting the switch arm when in one of its 'on' and 'off' positions and blocking movement of the switch arm to the other position. The cover plate may replace the conventional cover plate or serve as an auxiliary cover plate applied over the conventional cover plate.

An apparatus for containing and dispensing toilet paper. The apparatus holds the toilet paper roll in a stationary position as the loose paper end is pulled from the inner core of the paper roll. A housing for containing the paper roll is attached to a base, and a cover engaged with the housing compresses the paper roll against the base. This compression prevents sag of the layered toilet paper roll as the void in the paper core becomes enlarged.

Center feed toilet paper dispenser

A safety alarm for a weapon such as a hand gun is provided that is mounted in the hand grip of the weapon to warn of possible impending use by either an authorized or an unauthorized person. The safety alarm is mounted within the hand grip and has an alarm connected electronically to a battery in a normally open circuit that is closed only when a switch within the circuit is activated. In one embodiment the switch is in the form of a plunger that extends outside of the grip and is engaged by the hand to be depressed to connect two electronic contacts to complete the circuit and sound the alarm. In another embodiment the switch is in the form of a motion detector such as a mercury switch so that when the weapon is moved from one position in which the circuit is normally opened, the circuit is closed to connect the alarm to the battery and sound the alarm.

This invention drives a piezoelectric element by transferring energy from one element 5 to another 6 by way of an intermediate inductor 4. Additional energy is obtained from an energy source 1 to make up for internal losses and for the work performed by the piezoelectric elements. The energy is transferred as needed by switches which are operated by a controller for proper timing of energy transfer between the elements and energy boosts from the energy source.

Efficiency driver system for piezoelectrics

An electrically operated plural inlet-single outlet plastic mixing valve having common dual valve operator assemblies separately supplying valve flow to an outlet manifold to which the operator assemblies are attached by non-metallic weldment. In one embodiment the manifold has plural inlets oppositely connected to a common outlet such that the valve operators are oppositely disposed. The inlets may be rotationally oriented as desired at weldment with respect to each other and the manifold outlet. In a second embodiment the valve operators are disposed in spaced aligned arrangement.

A flange protector for use with flanged pipe, pressure vessels and the like, having a peripheral flange with an outer peripheral surface and a central opening for the pipe or vessel and having holes in the flange for receiving bolts. The flange protector comprises a sheet-form plastic cover member with a dished central portion fitted into the central opening of the flange and a portion extending radially outward to cover the flange and the holes therein and an edge portion extending normal thereto to cover at least part of the peripheral surface of the flange. The radially extending cover portion is secured to the flange by the flange holes. The flange is a female flange with holes therein, the cover member radially extending portion has indentations or hollow protrusions fitting into each of the flange holes, each having an aperture with fasteners positioned therein extending into the flange holes to secure the cover member in place.
