Acoustical isolator

A system includes knobs on an item of gear and a latch attached to a carrier. Each knob has a neck and a head with a larger diameter. First and second sliders fit into a latch frame. Hooks on the sliders form expandable apertures. To attach, the knob is pushed against the slider hooks to expand the aperture. After the head passes through the aperture, a spring biases the hooks together, so the aperture width is smaller than the head diameter, capturing the knob. A carrier adapter adapts the latch to a carrier. Adapters are available for duty belts, PALS-equipped carriers, and horizontal slots.

Gear attachment system

A light that mounts to the back of the hand by a band. A housing has a narrow beam lamp and the wide beam lamp with a corresponding lens system to form a light beam with the desired divergence. A number of power control configurations are contemplated, including separate on/off switches, multi-position switches, luminosity level switches with a master on/off switch, and a single switch for each lamp that cycles through several luminosity levels. Power is supplied by batteries. The band includes a bracket attached to the housing and a strap that permanently or removably attaches to the bracket, the combination of which encircles the hand. The light includes mechanisms for adjusting the housing relative to the band.

Hand mounted light

A child carrier worn on the back of a user for supporting and transporting a child includes a child seating and back support portion, an adjustable waist belt portion, two adjustable padded shoulder straps, a dual-adjustable cross-chest sternum strap, and two infant/child leg restraint straps. The child carrier is compliant to support the child from bottom, rear and side. The carrier may use shoulder and waist straps constructed of 3d air mesh fabric to provide adequate support and comfort, which enables the child carrier to be compressed into a small sack for stowage and transport in a pocket or other location.

Convertible child carrier

A hydration system includes first and second opposing flexible walls that form a bladder having a sealable compartment for containing a liquid. The system includes a drinking tube having a first end with a valve and a second end. A first port is configured to receive pressurizing gasses into the compartment. A second port is configured to provide fluid communication between the compartment and the drinking tube. The third port allows liquid to be supplied into the compartment. A first baffle and a second baffle connect the opposing walls within the compartment. The first and second baffles are configured to oppose expansion of the bladder as the pressurizing gasses are introduced into the compartment. A space between the first and second baffles is accessible via the third port. The space is configured to receive and secure a thermal pack. The thermal pack is insertable and removable via the third port. When sealed and pressurized, activation of the valve unseals the compartment and allows the liquid to be expelled from the compartment via the second port and the drinking tube as a result of a pressurization of the compartment by the pressurizing gasses.

Pressurized hydration system

A hydration system includes opposing flexible walls forming a bladder having a sealable compartment for containing a liquid. The system includes a drinking tube having a first end with a valve and a second end. A first port is configured to receive pressurizing gasses into the compartment. A baffle connects the opposing walls within the compartment. The baffle is configured to oppose expansion of the bladder as the pressurizing gasses are introduced into the compartment. A second port is configured to couple to the second end of the drinking tube to provide fluid communication between the compartment and the drinking tube. A third port allows the liquid to be supplied into the compartment. Activation of the valve unseals the compartment and allows the liquid to be expelled from the compartment via the second port and the drinking tube as a result of a pressurization of the compartment by the pressurizing gasses.

A hydration system for kayak integration includes a deck port configured to allow fluid passage through a deck of a kayak. The system includes a reservoir having an internal sealable compartment configured to contain a liquid under pressure. The reservoir has a first port configured to receive pressurizing gasses into the compartment, a second port, and a third port through which the liquid can be supplied into the compartment. A transfer tube couples the reservoir to the deck port. The transfer tube has a first end configured to be coupled to the second port of the reservoir and a second end configured to be coupled to the deck port at a position within an interior space of the kayak. A pressurizer is configured to be coupled to the first port of the reservoir. The pressurizer is operable to supply the pressurizing gasses. A drinking tube has a first end with a valve and a second end. The second end is configured to be coupled to the deck port at a position exterior to the kayak. When the compartment is sealed and pressurized, activation of the valve unseals the compartment and allows the liquid to be expelled from the compartment via the second port, the transfer tube, and the drinking tube as a result of the pressurization of the compartment by the pressurizing gasses.
