A system, method, and computer-readable medium for servicing a system, comprising: displaying animated content relative to the system; determining a snapshot function has been initiated; sending a request to a user of an augmented reality device with a camera to move the augmented reality device relative to the system; capturing information about components in the system and a configuration of the system; generating a three dimensional (3D) model of the system based on the captured information; and displaying a composite view of the model or an overlay based on the model and animated content related to a component.

Servicing system with snapshot function

Customer requirements for portable computers are grouped into logical functional groupings, which are further grouped into logical bandwidth levels. On the notebook side, all required signals for a specific logical functional grouping are combined into a single carrier with the necessary bandwidth for the signals within the logical bandwidth level. This combined signal is then passed through a docking connector. The individual signals are regenerated on the docking solution side of the connector. Logic on both the notebook and docking solution sides of the connector enables the respective devices to identify which carrier bandwidths are supported on both sides of the docking connector and settle on the greatest common denominator. Additionally, the signals combined into the carrier can be programmed, in which case the docking solution and the notebook negotiate the features that are and are not supported in each individual case.

Scalable docking architecture to support various bandwidth

A system and method for optimizing the performance of a computer memory system substitutes faster memory for a certain portion of the main memory. The substituted memory section automatically assumes a predesignated portion of the main memory and allows the main memory to become sequentially reorganized. Using this arrangement, for example, all the DOS applications that reside in the first 640 Kbytes of memory can be resident in the faster memory and the original main memory can then be used for other applications.
