A stacked RJ21 receptacle () for mating with a mating connector includes a first RJ21 receptacle () and a second receptacle (). An outer shield () shields the first and second receptacle. The first and second RJ21 receptacle each has a projecting portion projecting beyond the outer shield. The stacked RJ21 receptacle () further includes at least a printed circuit board () and a noise suppressing element () respectively electrically connecting with the first and second receptacles.

Electrical connector

A connector assembly () used to interconnect a primary circuit board () to an intermediate circuit board () includes a one-piece insulated housing () and an outer shell () partially enclosing outside of the housing (). The housing () has a space () formed from a mounting side of the housing () to the primary circuit board () and a face () formed at another mounting side of the housing () to the intermediate circuit board (). A plurality of conductors () is retained in the housing and extends from the space () to the face () and each conductor () has one tail portion () to be press-fit on the intermediate circuit board () and another tail portion to be engaged with a corresponding hole () on the primary circuit board (). The one-piece housing and fewer interfaces are used, and the mounting method and mechanism of the conductors is simplified to reduce the cost of manufacturing.

Connector assembly for printed circuit board interconnection

A stacked electrical connector assembly () mounted on a main printed circuit board includes an insulative housing (), an array of USB and modular conductive terminals () received in the housing, and a metal outer shell () substantially surrounding the insulative housing. The housing defines a USB plug-receiving cavity () and a modular plug-receiving cavity () stacked beneath the USB plug-receiving cavity. The USB conductive terminals () have USB contacting portions () exposed in the USB plug-receiving cavity adapted for mating with a USB type plug. A modular jack connector () includes a housing () defining an inner space (). A partition () is formed within the space. The partition forms with a plurality of fingers () and defines a plurality of slots () between two adjacent fingers. A plurality of contacts () assembled to the housing. Each contact includes a contact engaging portion () extending through the slots. At least one of the fingers and the contact engaging portions includes a reduced-dimension-portion such that clearance between the contact engaging portion and the slot is increased.

Modular jack connector having enhanced structure

A connector assembly () mounted on a printed circuit board for mating with the network cable includes a housing () configured to form two mating ports () for receiving their complementary connectors. A conditioning unit () is mounted into the housing () to be disposed between the mating ports (), and includes a common circuit board () having conditioning components () and two terminal modules () surface mounted thereon. Each of the terminal modules () has terminals () insert-molded therein and is mounted on a different side of the circuit board () from each other. At least one flexible latch () is formed on the middle portion of a sidewall of the housing () and a notch () is formed at one edge of the circuit board () to be engaged with the latch () to fix the conditioning unit () in position. Thus, the conditional unit () is easily secured to the housing and the latch () is easily detached from the notch () by a tool.

Connector assembly

An electrical adapter () includes a first housing member (), a second housing member () coupled with the first housing member, and a number of first, second and third conductive terminals (). The first housing member has a first mating face () defining a first upper and lower receptacles (). The second housing member has a second mating face () defining a second receptacle (). The first, second and third conductive terminals () respectively have contacting portions () extending into corresponding receptacles. Latching means are arranged between the first and second housing members so as to fasten the first housing member and the second housing together.

Electrical adapter assembly

A stacked modular jack () mounted on a mother printed circuit board includes an insulative casing (), a magnetic subassembly () disposed within the casing and an outer shield () enclosing the casing. The magnetic subassembly includes a single molded housing () having a receptacle () forwardly extending from a main body () thereof. A plurality of barriers () are formed in a bottom surface of the receptacle for retaining magnetic coils and transformers. The magnetic subassembly further includes an optional magnetic box liner () defining a plurality of channels () for cooperating with corresponding barriers of the housing for shielding the coils and transformers from other inside components of the modular jack, thereby effectively reducing electromagnetic interference.
