The silane of the composition can be in the form of a silane group attached to a polymer backbone or as a distinct component. The polymer can be provided as an aqueous emulsion or suspension in a liquid. The polymer finish composition can be used as a floor care coating or as an architectural coating such as a paint or wood finish.
