A turbine outlet frozen gas capture apparatus is provided and includes an enclosure divided into first and second chambers, the first chamber being receptive of turbine outlet exhaust including frozen gas, a wheel disposed and configured to be rotatable such that frozen gas received in the first chamber is captured and transported into the second chamber and a heater disposed within the second chamber and configured to vaporize the frozen gas transported therein to thereby produce vaporized gas.

Turbine outlet frozen gas capture apparatus and method

A water-from-air extraction system () includes a first open air passage () including a first portion () and a second portion () with the first portion () being fluidly linked to the second portion (). A desiccant wheel () is arranged between the first and second portions (). The water from air extraction system () further includes a second open air passage () including a first end portion () that leads to a second end portion () through an intermediate portion (). The first and second end portions () are fluidly connected to the first portion () of the first open air passage () and the intermediate section () is fluidly linked to the desiccant wheel (). A condensing heat exchanger () is fluidly connected to the intermediate section () of the second open air passage () downstream from the desiccant wheel (). The condensing heat exchanger () extracts water from an air flow passing through the second open air passage ().

Water-from-air system using a desiccant wheel

A rotary phase separator system generally includes a step-shaped rotary drum separator (RDS) and a motor assembly. The aspect ratio of the stepped drum minimizes power for both the accumulating and pumping functions. The accumulator section of the RDS has a relatively small diameter to minimize power losses within an axial length to define significant volume for accumulation. The pumping section of the RDS has a larger diameter to increase pumping head but has a shorter axial length to minimize power losses. The motor assembly drives the RDS at a low speed for separating and accumulating and a higher speed for pumping.

Rotary drum separator system

A gutter liquid separator is shown for separating liquid from non-liquid debris and for removing debris from a rain water gutter system secured to a roof of a structure. In a particular embodiment, the gutter liquid separator includes two main components; a debris discharge outlet and a liquid separator. The debris discharge outlet includes a flow surface, an inner and an outer wall extending up from the flow surface so that upstream edges of the flow surface, inner and outer walls are secured to a U-shaped gutter of the system. The debris discharge outlet also includes a debris drop-off edge that defines a drop-off plane passing through downstream edges of the flow surface, inner and outer walls. The liquid separator is secured to the debris discharge outlet and includes a liquid collection box secured to a bottom surface of the flow surface under the debris discharge outlet, and a liquid directing surface secured between the debris drop-off edge adjacent the downstream edge of the flow surface and a liquid inlet of the liquid collection box that directs liquid from the flow surface to the liquid collection box. The liquid collection box defines a liquid discharge outlet dimensioned to receive a downspout of the rain water gutter system. Liquid adheres to the liquid directing surface and flows into the liquid collection box, while debris flowing with the liquid drops off the debris drop-off edge out of the system.
