A pest control and/or detection system generally includes an electrically conductive bait matrix including at least one carrier material that is at least one of palatable, a phagostimulant and/or consumable and/or displaceable by pests, and a plurality of electrically conductive particles. The electrically conductive particles are substantially randomly interspersed throughout the at least one carrier material. The at least one carrier material includes a thermoplastic material and/or a resin.

Pest control and detection system with conductive bait matrix

A system and method for mixing and dispensing one or more pesticides includes a plurality of pesticide containers () for containing pesticide and at least one dosing device () associated with the pesticides containers and adapted to dose pesticide from the pesticide containers. A mixing device () receives pesticide from the dosing device and mixes the pesticide to form at least one of a pesticide solution and a pesticide mixture. A computer device () includes a processor and is adapted to receive an input from a user and based on that input operate the dosing device to dose a quantity of pesticide from one or more of the pesticide containers.

An injection apparatus for treating soil adjacent a structure has a handle and a manifold head attached to the handle. The manifold head has at least one inlet and at least one internal passage in fluid communication with the at least one inlet. A high pressure nozzle is in fluid communication with the at least one internal passage in the manifold head and is adapted for emitting a discharge stream of pesticide for subsurface injection of the pesticide. A low pressure nozzle is provided for applying a pesticide to the surface. The manifold head has a substantially planar contact member having a contact surface for contact with the surface beneath which the pesticide is applied. The contact member has a first opening in the contact surface in fluid communication with the high pressure nozzle and a second opening in the contact surface in fluid communication with the low pressure nozzle.

Injection apparatus for injecting pesticide

An above-ground termite station includes a container having a base, a side, and a lid together defining an interior space of the container. The side has at least two peripheral openings in spaced relationship with each other about a periphery of the container. Each of the peripheral openings is at least partially closed by a respective access closure that can be selectively removed to provide access to the interior space of the container through the peripheral opening. The container is mountable on an above-ground mounting surface with the base in generally opposed relationship with and abutting against the mounting surface. A cartridge is sized and configured for insertion in and removal from the interior space of the container and is generally an aggregation member, a bait matrix separate from the aggregation member, and a holder at least in part holding the aggregation member and bait matrix in assembly with the holder for positioning of the cartridge relative to the interior space of the container as a single unit.

The method also includes activating the antenna of the transmitting device to emit an electromagnetic field to define a region of influence. The housing of the transmitting device is made from a material that reduces the region of influence of the antenna by less than 50%.
