Aqueous dispersions of copolymers of ethylenically unsaturated monomers and silicone resins bearing functional groups which are free radically polymerizable are prepared by forming an aqueous miniemulsion of the silicone resin dissolved in an ethylenically unsaturated monomer, the miniemulsion having a Ddroplet size &#x3c;350 nm, and polymerizing using a free radical polymerization initiator.

Organocopolymer dispersions

An omniphobic aqueous stain repellant integral grout additive contains an aminoalkyl-substituted polyorganosiloxane, preferably, a higher alkyl alkoxysilane, an organopolysiloxane T resin bearing silicon-bonded alkoxy groups, a fluoro(meth)acrylate polymer or copolymer, and preferably, a film forming (meth)acrylate polymer or copolymer latex. The omniphobic grout additive provides high stain repellancy to grout in an economic manner.

The present invention pertains to a siliconized polyester resin that has a sufficiently high Tg that the siliconized polyester is a solid at room temperature. The silicone polyester preferably has a Tg of 30&#xb0; C. or greater. The silicone polyester can be produced as a particulate and remain stable at room temperature. The particulate silicone polyester is suitable for use in coating compositions, including powder coating compositions. The coating can be clear or pigmented, and thus optionally can include pigment. The coating composition also includes a crosslinker. The coating composition can be ground into a powder. The powder is stable at room temperature. The powder is then capable of being coated on a suitable substrate and then baked to form a coated metal object.

The present invention pertains to an epoxy-functional organopolysiloxane resin, and an epoxy-functional organopolysiloxane coating composition comprising the epoxy-functional organopolysiloxane resin. The epoxy-functional organopolysiloxane coating composition comprises the epoxy-functional organopolysiloxane resin of the present invention and a hardener. The epoxy-functional organopolysiloxane coating composition may optionally include pigments, a flow additive and a catalyst. The epoxy-functional organopolysiloxane resin is preferably prepared by reacting a silicone resin with a silane having at least one epoxy group per molecule. The coating composition cures through the crosslinking of the epoxy groups of the resin to provide a coating which is weather and corrosion resistant. The polysiloxane moieties in the resin render the cured coating resistant to U.V. light and heat.

A lamp device for communicating moods between users having a base with a plurality of individually illuminatable elements extending from the base and two control units remote from the base for regulating the illumination of the elements. In a preferred embodiment, the illuminatable elements are in the form of five translucent flames of various heights containing two small electric bulbs at their bases for selectively producing colored illumination of each. Appropriate circuitry is disposed in the base member and connected to each of the external control units which may be used to activate the bulbs individually or collectively. The control units may each have five settings designed to supply power in a synchronized manner to the bulbs within the flame elements. Two persons involved in using the lamp for communication each operate a respective control unit which may be concealed, if desired, and by which a level of illumination may be selected to indicate, for instance, the level of interest of the user. When the user couple fails to synchronize their 'levels', there is no illumination, but, upon synchronization, a flame of an appropriate color will light up, e.g., if level 1, a blue bulb illuminates the shortest flame. If both select level 2, a yellow bulb may illuminate the next flame in height; level 3, the next highest flame may glow orange; and at level 4, the next highest flame turns pink. At level 5, all of the flames light up in a lush red. Each level may be assigned specific understood psychological definitions that identify the mood or attitude of the users.

A seating device is disclosed that offers comfort in use over extended periods of time and certain therapeutic effects as well as being readily portable and storable when not in use. The device is embodied in an inflatable seat that may be molded from thin, clear polyethylene/vinyl plastic material and formed with a flat thicker bottom surface, a concave seat area, a rising rear support, and a smaller frontal post section. The concave seat area is formed with an inherent forward tilt design which automatically aligns the spine of a user while the rear support provides additional comfort. The smaller frontal post section prevents forward sliding on and ride up of the rear of the seat. A valve is located in the bottom surface for inflating and deflating the seat and a snap strap may be provided for permanent closure after deflation and folding of the seat into itself.
