In an example implementation, a self-cooling headset includes an ear cup to form an ear enclosure when placed over a user's ear. A first check valve on the ear cup is to open and release a volume of air from the ear enclosure when a positive pressure within the ear enclosure overcomes a cracking pressure of the first check valve. A second check valve on the ear cup is to open and admit a volume of air into the ear enclosure when a partial vacuum within the ear enclosure causes an external pressure to overcome a cracking pressure of the second check valve.

In one example, a system for remote device configurations can include a mobile computing device to: determine configuration information for a remote device, generate a configuration file based on a plurality of inputs corresponding to the configuration information of the remote device, transmit the configuration file to the remote device, and the remote device to alter a plurality of settings based on the received configuration file.

An electronic pointing device includes a housing. In addition, the electronic device includes a position transducer coupled to the housing. Further, the electronic pointing device includes a plurality of electrical switches coupled to the housing. Still further, the electronic pointing device includes a cover plate removably coupled to the housing. The cover plate includes a plurality of holes, each hole aligned with one of the plurality of electrical switches. The electronic pointing device also includes a plurality of button members. Each button member is removably disposed in one of the holes of the cover plate and disposed to engage the corresponding, aligned electrical switch to actuate that electrical switch.

A first device in accordance with an example is placed in a predefined mode in response to removing a near field communication (NFC) tag from an NFC component of the first device. A request is received from a second device to establish a connection with the first device based on data stored on the NFC tag. The first device establishes the connection with the second device and executes the predefined mode.

A removably mounted fan for an active heat sink, and the mounting of that combination to a part to be cooled, is obtained by: (1) The use a fan that engages and registers itself upon and against a top peripheral surface surrounding a cavity where the fan is to be located; (2) Holding the fan in place with one or more resilient mounting clips that span the distance from the top of the fan and an opposing outside bottom surface of the active heat sink; and, (3) Providing the resilient mounting clips with outward projecting mounting tabs that are flexible and resilient and that have mounting holes through which the resilient mounting clips (and the active heat sink they grip) can be attached to an assembly carrying the part to be cooled, such that the bottom of the active heat sink is in good thermal contact with that part.
