A system, method, and apparatus for integrated resource planning for satellite systems are disclosed. The method involves obtaining user communication demand for at least one region. The method further involves generating a beam map comprising at least one beam for each of the regions according to the user communication demand. Also, the method involves generating at least one configuration profile for the satellite system by using the beam map. Additionally, the method involves performing a performance analysis by comparing: the user communication demand versus one of the configuration profiles, the user communication demand versus actual communication demand, one of the configuration profiles versus the actual communication demand, and/or one of the configuration profiles versus another one of the configuration profiles. Further, the method optionally involves determining power flux spectral density (PFSD) for the beam frequency spectrum for each of the beams by using at least one of the configuration profiles.

Integrated resource planning for satellite systems

An arterial syringe guide adapted for use with a common arterial syringe is provided for improving the safety of the arterial sampling procedure, for providing easy access to a syringe blood receptacle, and for facilitating the insertion of the needle of a syringe into a targeted artery. An integrated artery stabilizer holds the artery in place during use. A syringe holder retains the needle hub of a hypodermic needle. The blood receptacle component of the employed syringe may be separated from the device, leaving the needle component of the syringe locked on the device for safety.

Hypodermic syringe guide

An artery stabilizer device is provided for stabilizing an artery while a technician inserts a needle into the stabilized artery. Two stabilizer fingers are provided to hold an artery in place while a needle is passed between two extensions and further inserted into the artery beyond the stabilizer fingers; the device can be removed from the worksite while the tip of the needle remains lodged within the artery. A platform is disposed above the stabilizer fingers and extensions create ample distance between the stabilizer fingers and the platform for simplified palpation and improved visibility and safety. Each embodiment can create an augmented pulse at a targeted needle insertion site, making it easier for a technician to palpate the patient's pulse there. Arterial catheter insertions can be facilitated using this invention.

Fingertip positioned artery stabilizer

A vascular catheter installer with a syringe holder adapted for use with a catheter syringe is provided for installing an indwelling catheter into a blood vessel. A syringe holder is slidably set on a rigid shaft, allowing a technician to maneuver an attached catheter syringe up and down the shaft. The technician presses down on a finger-hold platform while a stabilizer holds the device in place. The syringe holder can be locked in multiple locations along the shaft and the needle of the syringe can be immobilized within the protective walls of a needle shield for safety.

Vascular catheter installer

An artery stabilizer device, which is held in place by a technician over a targeted artery using just one or two fingertips of the technician's hand, is provided for stabilizing the artery while the user inserts the needle of a syringe into the artery. A pair of stabilizer fingers, which protrude from the bottom surface of a finger-hold platform, hold the artery in place while the needle is inserted into the artery distal the tips of the stabilizer fingers. In one embodiment, a gauze pad is attached beneath the finger-hold platform, allowing the user to quickly apply a dressing over the wound created by the needle puncture. Another embodiment provides a needle guide between extended stabilizer fingers for stabilizing the needle during the arterial puncture. Each embodiment creates an augmented pulse at the targeted needle insertion site, making it easier for the technician to palpate the pulse there. Arterial line insertions can also be facilitated using this invention.

Fingertip-positioned artery stabilizer

A catheter syringe conveyor with a needle guard housing is adapted to facilitate the insertion of a catheter into a targeted blood vessel. A catheter syringe is slidably situated within a hand-held housing structure; a syringe holder that is slidably connected to the housing allows a technician to maneuver the catheter syringe up and down within the housing. At least one stabilizer finger is attached to the bottom of the housing. After a blood vessel is penetrated by the needle of the catheter syringe, the technician maneuvers a catheter pusher to lower the catheter off of the needle and into the blood vessel. After the catheter is inserted, the technician is able to slide the catheter syringe back up within the housing to move the needle within the protective walls of the housing for safety, and a syringe lock holds it there securely for safekeeping.
