A drawn moldboard plow includes a lift linkage for the rear furrow and ground wheels which improves ground penetration by causing the plow frame to roll as it is lowered so the share points contact the soil first. A hydraulic cylinder contained within a part of the frame operates both the furrow and the ground wheels through a linkage which, during retraction, raises the ground wheel at a faster rate than the rear furrow wheel so the plow frame rolls in the direction of the ground wheel. If the ground wheel reaches its plowing position determined by an adjustable stop before the furrow wheel, a lost motion connection allows continued retraction of the cylinder to further raise the furrow wheel to its plowing position.

Ground-working implement and lift linkage therefor

An angularly adjustable bracket structure is provided for mounting tool-carrying standards on the frame of an agricultural implement. The bracket structure includes a bracket having three adjoining vertical faces which are angularly offset from one another and which can be abutted to the frame to adjust the tool between three positions and provide selected widths of cut between the tools. A wedge element is removably insertable between the frame and two faces of the bracket to position the third face in abutment with the frame.

A plow having a main frame beam disposed in a diagonal direction with respect to the direction of travel and having a plurality of plow bottoms equally spaced along the diagonal beam, each bottom being vertically pivotally supported on the beam. A furrow wheel frame is carried on the rear of the beam to swing about a vertical axis. The plow bottoms and wheel frame are connected together and are power operated so that the plows may have their effective plowing width adjusted while at the same time positioning the furrow wheel frame. A hitch connection is carried on the forward end of the plow and is composed of a first part which is adapted for connection to a tractor and a second part which is rearward of the first part and adapted to shift with the plow frame. The two parts are connected by a vertical pivot to permit relative lateral swinging between the parts. Master and slave cylinders extend respectively between the first and second parts of the hitch and furrow wheel frame and the furrow wheel so that upon adjusting the width of cut of the plow bottoms on the go which would tend to shift the hitch parts relative to one another the position of the rear furrow wheel with respect to the wheel frame is automatically adjusted. The master and slave cylinders are so mounted and dimensioned that the rear wheel will automatically adjust itself with respect to the direction of travel in order to achieve desired steering of the rear wheel and resultant positioning of the rear position of the frame.

Steering for plow with adjustable plow bottoms

A tractor-trailed plow having a steerable rear wheel is provided with a hydraulically powered steering system including master and slave cylinders arranged to steer the rear wheel in response to changes in the angular position of the plow with respect to the tractor. A rephasing valve system is provided that is responsive to turning of the tractor for proper phasing of the master and slave cylinders.
