An injection nozzle for use in an injection molding machine. The injection nozzle has a nozzle body. The nozzle body has a tip section, a nut section, a threaded section that are interposed between a first end and a second end. A conduit extends through the nozzle body between an intake orifice and an output orifice. Within the nozzle body, the conduit has a first zone and a second zone that meet at a transition area. The first zone extends into the nozzle body from the first end. The second zone extends into the nozzle body from the second end. Fins radially extend into the first zone of the conduit. The fins absorb heat from material passing through the first zone of the conduit. The fins can cause molten material to cool quicker in the first zone of the conduit than in the second zone of the conduit.

Injection nozzle for an injection molding machine

The invention relates generally to injection mold components, and more specifically an injection mold material flow channel configured with at least one fin projecting inwardly from an inner surface of the melt channel. An injection molding insert may be made for insertion within a flow path of an injection mold components and include a substantially tubular body defining a channel; and at least one fin projecting inwardly from an inner surface of the channel.

A method of assembly of fencing made of thermoplastic materials which can be easily assembled utilizing ultrasonic welding and which can include a unique configuration for the ultrasonic welding surfaces which prevents the flow of melted thermoplastic materials outwardly onto the decorative outer surfaces of the various fencing parts. Any excess thermoplastic material is designed to pass inwardly toward the longitudinally extending bore defined in the various fencing construction parts. This concept is particularly useful for attaching capping fence members which are injection molded onto structural fence members which are extruded.

Method of assembly of thermoplastic fencing

A device for restricting flow through a curb inlet opening defined in a street storm drain by secure positioning a face plate extending thereover. Multiple flow slots are defined extending through the face plate to allow limited flow therethrough. The face plate is securable to the drain by mounting apparatus which includes one or more mounting brackets along with an engagement device attachable to the flow limiting slots and the brackets to hold the face plate in position extending over the curb inlet opening. Mounting brackets can have teeth for engaging storm drain for enhanced securement therewith. The flow restricting slots are preferably radially arranged with respect to one another and can include lateral slots further engageable with the mounting bracket to prevent rotation thereof during tightening thereof. Conical washers can extend over the head of mounting bolts for protection thereof.

A post mount guide includes a tubular body having a throughhole for non-frictionally freely slidably receiving therethrough an upright support portion of a post mount, at least one pair of mounting panels having each panel positioned 90&#xb0; from the other and adjacent to one another, the panels extending spaced apart from and connected at one end to the tubular body, wherein the mounting panels of each pair of panels are adapted to resiliently bend and configured to receive and retain a fastener therethrough, and a stop mechanism is included with each pair of panels for stopping the panels from bending beyond a fixed position toward the tubular body. The stop mechanism includes first and second end portions of the adjacent mounting panels, respectively, being configured for reversible abutting engagement with one another upon bending inward to the fixed position toward the tubular body.

Thermoplastic fencing construction and method of assembly thereof

A device for restricting the flow through a curb inlet opening of a street storm drain by positioning a face plate thereover with a plurality of flow apertures therethrough of limited size. The face plate is securable to the drain by a mounting apparatus including one or more mounting brackets along with an engagement device for securing the mounting brackets with respect to the drain and the face plate for mounting the face plate extending over the curb inlet opening. Mounting brackets include alternatively teeth for engaging mated teeth on the rear of the face plate and storm drain engaging teeth also. Edges of the face plate can be chamfered for protection and a protective rim can extend upwardly around the securement apertures for protection thereof.

A fastener for securing first and second members together at opposing respective flat surfaces thereof, whereby at the point of joining the first member has an aperture concentric with an aperture of the second member, the fastener comprising first and second tubular portions concentric with one another, whereby the second tubular portion is of reduced outside diameter relative to the first tubular portion, a circular flange forming a transverse interior end of the first tubular portion, an interior end of the second tubular portion being rigidly joined to the circular flange, at least one resilient arm being formed in and extending from a sidewall of each one of the first and second tubular portions toward the flange, the at least one resilient arm of each portions each having a free end including a retaining end surface adapted for having close proximity to a side portion surrounding the respective apertures of the first and second members.

Self-locking fastener

A clip for securing a picket cap to a profile of a picket fence consists of a U-shaped thin piece of stainless steel, or other suitable material, for frictionally fitting onto opposing end tabs protruding from a bottom portion of the picket cap. A backface of the picket clip has a barb-like portion formed thereon, and bent into an interior portion thereof for permitting the clip to be pushed onto one of the opposing tabs of the picket cap, but preventing the removal of the clip therefrom by digging into the material of an inside wall portion of the associated tab if an attempt is made to remove the clip from the associated tab. One such clip is installed on the two opposing tabs. The front face of the clip includes a topmost barb portion comprising one or more projecting teeth bent away from the clip, for digging into an inside wall portion of a recess in the top of an associated vertical profile into which the tabs of the picket cap are inserted, to prevent removal of the associated picket cap from the profile.
