Disclosed is a hormone electrochemical biosensor, e.g. an amperometric biosensor, for the detection of a hormone and measurement of the concentration of a hormone. The disclosed hormone biosensor comprises a hormone-catalyzing enzyme, such as KSDH1. Also described herein are systems comprising an amperometric biosensor, e.g., chronoamperometric biosensor and methods of using the chronoamperometric biosensor.

Hormone electrochemical biosensor

Described herein are systems, assays, methods and compositions for identification of oxidase microbial redox-enzymes (MREs) specific to an analyte of interest from an environmental source. The technology relates to identification of analyte-responsive MREs that can quantify the concentration of a target analyte with high specificity and high sensitivity, for example, where the identified analyte-responsive redox-enzyme can be used to engineer an electrochemical biosensor.

High throughput assay for identifying microbial redox enzymes

Described herein are methods, compositions and processes related to a microbial-based biosensor system for the detection of small molecules and analytes based on an analyte-responsive transcription factor-DNA binding mechanism with either a ratiometric fluorescent output through F&#xf6;rster resonance energy transfer (FRET) or a redox sensor output for the quantification of the target analyte with high sensitivity.

Microbial-based biosensors

Described herein is an amperometric biosensor, e.g., chronoamperometric biosensor for the measurement of the concentration of nicotine. Also disclosed herein is a wearable nicotine biosensor device and a biosensor that detects nicotine in smoke. The biosensor disclosed herein comprises a nicotine-catalyzing enzyme, such as NicA2 or mutant NicA2 enzymes. Also described herein are systems comprising said amperometric biosensor, e.g., chronoamperometric biosensor and methods of using said chronoamperometric biosensor.
