A finger-wearable computing device comprises a ring base configured to be worn on a finger of a wearer's hand, and a track pad supported by the ring base and configured to detect a location of engagement between a marker point on a thumb of the wearer's hand and the track pad. The finger-wearable computing device is configured to generate a command signal indicative of the location of engagement for controlling a component of the finger-wearable computing device or for controlling a remote electronic device.

Thumb-controllable finger-wearable computing devices

A finger-wearable computing device may comprise a processor, a ring base, and a display screen. The display screen is coupled to the ring base and coupled to the processor to display an output. The display screen includes a command area configured to receive user input from a wearer's thumb while the finger-wearable computing device is worn on a wearer's finger. The ring base may be resiliently flexible and may define an overlapping loop with a central opening that expands and contracts to fit the wearer's finger. The display screen may be flexibly coupled to the ring base and may have a vertical axis that is canted at an angle relative to a central axis of the ring base to ergonomically position the display screen while the wearable computing device is worn on the finger of the wearer's hand.

Finger-wearable devices and associated systems

A wearable computing device can have a processor, a memory, and a display so operatively coupled to the processor and the memory as to display an output therefrom. The processor and the memory can be positioned in a resiliently flexible body. The resiliently flexible body can include a first end and an opposed second end, a first edge and an opposed second edge, wherein the first and the second edges extend between the first end and the opposed second end. The body can also have a wearer-engagement portion positioned between the first end and an intermediate region, wherein the finger-engagement portion of the resiliently flexible body circumferentially so extends around a longitudinally extending axis positioned parallel to the first end and spaced apart from the resiliently flexible body as to define an open interior region, wherein the interior region of the wearer-engagement portion defines an inner surface extending between the first edge and the second edge and between the first end and the intermediate region, wherein the wearer engagement portion further defines an outer surface positioned outward of the interior region and opposite the interior surface. A display portion of the body can be positioned between the intermediate region and the second end, wherein the display is positioned in the display portion on a same side of the resiliently flexible body as the outer surface of the wearer-engagement portion. A user input device can be positioned opposite the interior surface and outward of the interior region, and between the first end and the display portion.

Wearable devices and associated systems

A system for painting images of stars and other objects on the interior surfaces of a room with phosphorescent paint utilizes a projector to project symbols on the surface to indicate locations of points to be painted. The projector is adjustable to accomodate rooim size and position of the viewer.

System for simulating the appearance of the night sky inside a room

A nestling barrier for an infant includes a block of soft material having a U-shaped recess in one side thereof suitable for receiving and sheltering the head of an infant in the recess, to give the infant the comfort and security of close head confinement. Weight is embedded inside the block of soft material to impede movement of the barrier by the snuggling infant.
