An Electro Static Discharge (ESD) Safe Liner device made from Carbon Filled EVA Sheet and Film that provides the ways a liner can provide a safe method to prevent Electro static discharges from containers transporting various materials. Additionally, the Cuff or the thin mil film material fastened to the top of the liner provides a capability where there is enough excess material at the top of the liner which, when removed is than gathered in a variety of methods and contains any residual from the unused material within the liner for proper disposal and no mess. The container liners are for large and small containers and prove themselves extremely efficient.

Electro static discharge (ESD) safe liner device for various totes and other containers

A sizer for assessing the geometry of a heart valve annulus. The sizer preferably includes a circular sizing portion for measuring the diameter of the valve annulus. The sizing portion has radial spokes. The spokes are used to compare the symmetry of the commissures to the expected symmetry of a normal heart valve. The sizer preferably has one or more legs attached to the sizing portion for comparing the contour of the line of valve leaflet attachment to the expected contour of a normal heart valve having a diameter substantially equivalent to the measured diameter of the valve annulus.

Device and method for assessing the geometry of a heart valve

A sizer for assessing the geometry of a heart valve annulus including a handle portion for holding the sizer and a sizing portion. The sizing portion is preferably in the shape of an arch having an apex and two legs, each of which has a base adjoining the handle portion. The legs of the arched sizing portion are separated from each other by a predetermined distance that corresponds to the expected separation of commissures of a normal heart valve annulus. The height of the arch (measured from the base of each leg to the apex) corresponds to a predetermined leaflet height that approximates the expected height of a leaflet of a normal heart valve. For aortic valve reconstruction, the instrument is inserted into the opened aortic root following removal of the native valve tissue and is used to assess the distance between the commissures, the leaflet height, and the symmetry of the commissures of the exposed valve annulus.

A new and unique, optimized, two-dimensional heart valve tissue pattern, valve, and a method of reconstructing a three-dimensional semilunar heart valve, or portion thereof. In one preferred embodiment, the two-dimensional valve tissue pattern, and method of the present invention, comprises a two-dimensional configuration developed and optimized by employing, in part, the anatomy of a three-dimensional human heart valve, and said two-dimensional configuration delimits a two dimensional area that corresponds to the shape of tissue to be used in the repair of at least one leaflet of a circulatory system semilunar valve, wherein the configuration delimits at least one segment, and up to all three segments, of a three segment &ldquo;trefoil&rdquo; shape.

Optimized geometry of a tissue pattern for semilunar heart valve reconstruction

One object of the present invention is based upon the development and use of a serum-free defined cell culture medium comprising a supplement mixture, a component mixture, a vitamin mixture, an inorganic salt mixture and amino acid mixture that avoids the problems inherent in the use of serum. In particular, the defined medium is useful in culturing fibroblasts, especially chondrocytes. Another object of the present invention is to claim a method of enhancing the differentiation of chondrocytes and enhancing the synthesis of a cartilage specific matrix using tumor growth factor beta (TGF-.beta.). Another object of the present invention is to claim a method of enhancing the differentiation of chondrocytes using the combination of TGF-.beta.and IGF.
