A flow-through solid catalyst formed by coating a zeolite material on a metal or ceramic solid substrate. In some embodiments, the solid substrate is formed as flat plates, corrugated plates, or honeycomb blocks.

Clean gas stack

An exhaust gas purification system including an exhaust pipe having a hollow longitudinal portion. The hollow longitudinal portion has an inner surface which defines a cavity, and there is also a plurality of steel rods mounted along a length of the hollow longitudinal portion and inside the cavity. The plurality of steel rods are coated with a slurry of a catalytic composition having a tectosilicate having titanium, one or more raw material having magnetic properties, and an acrylic oil.

A method and apparatus for reducing the emissions and improving the performance of an internal combustion engine (). An input air stream is separated into an oxygen-enriched air stream and a nitrogen-enriched air stream. The nitrogen-enriched air stream is received by a holding chamber (). The oxygen-enriched air and a combustible fuel are provided to a combustion chamber () of the internal combustion engine () and a combustion process is initiated. After a predefined time delay, a volume of nitrogen-enriched air is provided from the holding chamber () to the combustion chamber () to be used during the rest of the combustion process.

Method and apparatus for membrane separation of air into nitrogen and oxygen elements for use in internal combustion engines

A device for treating cells is disclosed. The device includes a plurality of permanent magnets arranged in a side-by-side relationship with the magnetic north pole and the magnetic south pole of each permanent magnet being adjacent the magnetic north pole and magnetic south pole of an adjacent permanent magnet, respectively, the plurality of permanent magnets forming a ring of permanent magnets. The device further includes an electrically conductive wire wound substantially around the ring of permanent magnets, and tubing wrapped around the ring of permanent magnets between windings of the wire. A cooling device introduces a flow of coolant through the tubing so as to substantially cool the device. The device further includes a control circuit, connected to the wire, for selectively generating a coil current for passing through the wire. The current has an AC component and a DC component. The frequency of the AC component is programmable and is set to substantially match a resonant frequency associated with the cells to be treated. The coil current creates an electromagnetic field that interacts with a magnetic field generated by the ring of permanent magnets to generate a complex field that causes ionic collisions within the cells to be treated.

System and method for treating cells using electromagnetic-based radiation

A complex magnetic field generating device, comprising a frame, a plurality of magnets capable of producing a magnetic field, wherein each of the plurality of magnets has a north pole and a south pole and a longitudinal axis passing therethrough, the plurality of magnets are positioned in a side by side axis parallel orientation and are partially held in place by the frame, a coil of electrically conducting material wrapped about the plurality of magnets and orthogonal to the longitudinal axis of each of the plurality of magnets, and a source of electrical energy for supplying an electrical current to the coil enabling a magnetic field detectable with iron filings to be produced therefrom. A switch is provided to enable the electrical current to flow in a first direction and a second direction opposite to the first direction. The plurality of magnets that are positioned in a side by side axis parallel orientation are oriented so that the like poles of the plurality of magnets are positioned adjacent each other.

Complex magnetic field generating device

A liquid nitrogen capillary tube heat exchanger comprises a vertical array of alternating vaporization chambers and pressure control chambers connected together in series. The vaporization chambers each have a plurality of capillary tubes mounted in exterior loops along the exterior of the chamber in communication with liquid nitrogen in the chamber. The capillary tubes provide a contolled rate of vaporization of the liquid nitrogen and increased exterior surface area to facilitate refrigeration. The pressure control chambers are filled with copper filings and a dessicant.

Liquid nitrogen capillary heat exchanger

A process for the agglomeration of coal fines comprises the steps of mixing the coal fines with an agglomerating liquid which is further comprised of a reagent and a solvent portion. The coal fines are thereafter separated from the agglomerating liquid, dried, and preferentially compressed into pellet form. The process also entails the recovery and return of the agglomerating liquid. The agglomerating liquid of the present invention includes the reagent portion which is a member or a combination of the group consisting of aromatic tertiary amines, nonaromatic cyclic amines or primary organic amines. The solvent is an organic solvent, desirably a member or a combination of the group consisting of toulene, chloroform, carbon disulfide or dimethylacetamide. The pellet formed from the process of the present invention is uniquely water resistant and of controllable hardness.

Process of coal agglomeration

A process for removing moisture from coal comprises transforming the coal to coal fines, polarizing the coal fines to produce an electrical charge differential between the relatively non-conductive water and the relatively conductive coal particles, and removing the water by admixing the coal fines in a drying chamber with a dry gaseous mixture having a different electrical state from the moisture, such that the moisture is selectively attracted to the gaseous media, and then separating the moisture laden gaseous media from the coal fines and collecting the fines. The admixture is accomplished with a vertically oriented cylindrical drying chamber wherein the fines are introduced at the top of the chamber and settle downwardly and the dry, gaseous media is directed upwardly through the chamber in a swirling helical path. The helical path is induced by a series of stepped radial baffle plates spaced along the chamber in the fashion of a spiral staircase, with the gaseous media being introduced through nozzles positioned adjacent the plates. The gaseous media can be dried for reuse in the system after it is removed from the top of the chamber.
