Panoramic virtual reality camera

A scalable three-dimensional (3D), 360-degree camera system is configured to capture images and/or video across 360 degrees of a local area. The camera system includes a plurality of cameras that are coupled to a spherical inner core, which is enclosed within an exterior shell composed of several segments. The exterior shell segments include apertures that align with each camera, and an interior shell component is concentrically aligned with each aperture. The configuration of the exterior shell segments and the interior shell components protect the camera assembly from physical damage and the environment and additionally improve heat dissipation from internal components of the camera system. Design parameters of the camera system can be determined to adjust the number of cameras, the size of the inner core, the positioning of the cameras on the inner core, and the number and configuration of the segments of the interior and exterior shell.

Scalable three-dimensional, 360-degree virtual reality camera system

A door assembly which includes a door that slides open and closed to alternatively expose and cover components of a computer system. The door assembly includes a rack and pinion system that prevents racking of the door. The non-racking feature allows for the door to be wider than prior art doors such that more components may be easily accessed by a computer user. The door assembly also includes a spring assembly for automatically closing the door, a dampener for moderating the movement of the door, and a latching mechanism that holds the door open. In one embodiment the latch mechanism is a push-push latch and the spring of the spring assembly is a constant force spring.

Configurable multi-product electronics enclosure

A module is sandwiched between an underlying member and a superimposed enclosure. The underlying member may be a base or another enclosure. The module is constructed so that it can be secured to the underlying member. The superimposed member has feet formed with horizontal grooves which fit into pockets in corners of the module. A slide is horizontally movable in the module between retracted position and an operative position. In the operative position edges of the slide engage in the grooves in the feet to lock the superimposed enclosure to the module and thereby to the underlying member. The slide may be detachably secured in operative position.

Stacked enclosure locking mechanism

A fan assembly with a single fan housing that has at least one fan passage adapted to allow air to flow through the housing. A separate fan subassembly is snapped into a motor housing formed within the passages of the fan housing. The subassembly includes an electric motor that rotates an impeller. The rotation of the impeller creates an airflow through the air passage. Attached to the surface of the housing is a conductor that extends from the motor, to an electrical connector that supplies power to the motor from an external power source. The air passage has rounded entrances and is formed such that the passage is shaped like a venturi tube. The rounded edges reduce the head loss through the passage by an order of magnitude, decreasing the pressure drop across the housing and improving the overall efficiency of the fan.

A cable management apparatus for a computer workstation housing is disclosed. The cable management apparatus includes an outer surface having at least one hinge element and an associated snap element. The cable management apparatus also includes at least one rigid member having first and second ends, the first end being attachable to the snap element and the second end being attachable to the hinge element. The rigid member cooperates with the outer surface to form a space therebetween for securement of cables exiting the computer workstation housing.
