Methods for use in, e.g., a patient care computing environment, for establishing a communication between a bedside care location and a remote care location are provided. In one embodiment, the method may include providing a multi-patient view having a plurality of selectable patient indicators and receiving an indication that one of the plurality of selectable patient indicators has been selected by a user. In another embodiment, the method may include displaying a view of an electronic record associated with a patient, e.g., an electronic medical record, the view having a selectable audio/video launch indicator, and receiving an indication that the selectable audio/video indicator has been selected by a user. The user's selection of one of the plurality of selectable patient indicators or the selectable audio/video indicator may be indicative of a request for initiation of a communication between the user and another party.

Computerized method for establishing a communication between a bedside care location and a remote care location

Methods and systems for updating a task list from an action item documentation view are provided. In one embodiment, a method of the present invention may include receiving an indication that a task view indicator has been selected from the action item documentation view and displaying the task list with a focus on one or more tasks that correspond with the task view indicator selected. The task list displayed may include all tasks due for a particular patient, whether or not information regarding the task may be input in the action item documentation view.

Computerized method and system for updating a task list from an action item documentation view

Methods for use in, e.g., a patient care computing environment, for outputting alerts from a multi-patient display are provided. In one embodiment, the method may include providing a multi-patient display having a plurality of selectable patient indicators, receiving a patient alert associated with a patient for whom one of the plurality of selectable patient indicators is present in the multi-patient display, and outputting the received patient alert from the multi-patient display in association with the one of the plurality of selectable patient indicators. The method may further include receiving an indication that the one of the plurality of selectable patient indicators associated with the received patient alert has been selected by a user and, upon receipt of such indication, outputting information corresponding to the patient alert received.

Computerized method and system for providing alerts from a multi-patient display

A method and system suitable for managing a number of attachments is provided. The method includes the steps of displaying attachment details for the plurality of attachments, displaying a representation of at least a portion of a human body; generating a graphical indicia for each attachment and displaying the indicia at the appropriate location on the human representation; upon receipt of input from a user, displaying at least one task associated with at least one attachment; and upon receipt of input from a user, providing a clinical document or image associated with an attachment.
