Provided herein are various enhanced assemblies and techniques for forming high-power radio frequency coaxial splitters. In one example, an apparatus includes an input coaxial port having a center conductor coupled to a first longitudinal end of a generally cylindrical conductor member formed along a longitudinal axis within a housing forming a cavity about the conductor member. Output coaxial ports are included having center conductors coupled to generally square output branches arrayed at a second longitudinal end about the conductor member in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. A thermal shunt is included comprising a thermal connection between the housing and a recess formed into the conductor member along the longitudinal axis at the second longitudinal end.

Symmetric radio frequency coaxial splitters

Provided herein are various magnetoelectric dipole antenna arrays and multi-array arrangements for handling radio frequency signals. In one example, an antenna array includes a baseplate conductively coupled to sets of plate elements by support members that position the plate elements at selected distances offset from a surface of the baseplate. Antenna probes are arranged in orthogonal pairs positioned within gaps between a corresponding set of plate elements, with each antenna probe comprising a conductive strip having a feed section coupled to a radio frequency connection through the baseplate, a transverse section generally parallel with the baseplate, and a terminal section directed back toward the baseplate. Dielectric structures for each pair of antenna probes comprise a dielectric material having channels that recess the conductive strips therein and a dielectric spacer positioned between overlapping transverse sections of the antenna probes.

Magnetoelectric antenna array

An apparatus includes an aperture layer coupled to a polarizer layer. The aperture layer includes an antenna and a filter. A circuit layer is mechanically and thermally coupled to the aperture layer. The antenna includes a square horn antenna made of a polymer material. The filter includes a waveguide filter having a first and a second piece separately molded. The waveguide filter includes a folded-back waveguide coupled to the horn antenna at one end and to the circuit layer at another end.

Building block for space-based phased array

An antenna array includes multiple array modules. Each array module includes at least on antenna element including a horn antenna coupled to a polarizer, and a two-piece waveguide filter. The two-piece waveguide filter includes a folded-back waveguide coupled to the horn antenna at one end and to a circuit layer at the other end. The horn antenna includes a multi-mode horn antenna. The two-piece waveguide filter includes a first piece and a second piece that are separately molded. A footprint of the two-piece waveguide filter is within a footprint of an aperture of the horn antenna.

Waveguide aperture design for geo satellites

An advanced power switching apparatus that is suitable for use in spacecraft and provides miniaturization, weight reduction, and improved reliability of power switching and protection functions. The apparatus provides greatly increased functionality, and is capable of switching power, isolating faults, and limiting in-rush and fault currents. The apparatus comprises a plurality of power switching circuits. Each power switching circuit comprises a switched power input and a switched power output, a switching device coupling the switched power input to the switched power output, the switching device having a control input, and an integrated circuit coupled to the switching device control input, having an enable input receiving a signal indicating whether the switching device is to be on or off, an input sensing current flow through the switching device, and an input sensing voltage at the switched power output, the circuit operable to control the switching device based on the control input, current sensing input and voltage sensing input.
