A support assembly for a trolling motor is disclosed whereby the trolling motor shaft is clamped into a separate threaded rack unit. A motor driving a gear engaged with the rack unit causes the trolling motor to be raised and lowered vertically. A spring is employed in the breakaway mounting assembly to allow the trolling motor propulsion unit to deflect upon striking an underwater obstacle, and thereby prevent damage to the trolling motor.

Trolling motor support assembly

A power monitoring system for monitoring characteristics of power transmitted through one or more power lines comprises a meter base and multiple option modules. The meter base includes a processor and associated circuitry for processing signals derived from sensors coupled to said power lines and producing output signals representing selected characteristics of the power transmitted through the power lines, and a housing containing the processor and the associated circuitry and having a first surface adapted to be mounted on a DIN rail, and a second surface containing multiple connectors for receiving multiple modules and electrically connecting the modules to the processor and the associated circuitry. Each of the multiple option modules includes a housing having a first surface containing a connector that is complementary with the multiple connectors in the second surface of the meter base so that any of the option modules can be plugged into any of the multiple connectors in the second surface of the meter base, and circuitry within the housing of the option module for interconnecting with the processor and the associated circuitry in the meter base. The first surface of the meter base housing may be adapted for optional mounting on the DIN rail or a flat panel, and contains a connector for mating with a complementary connector on the opposite side of the flat panel through a hole in the flat panel.

Front-accessible communications port for enclosed electrical equipment

An extendable support arm for a carpet stretcher is provided. The extendable support arm is a multiple section telescoping arm having several telescoping sections made from angle aluminum extrusions. The angle extrusions all have the same cross-sectional shape and size thereby reducing manufacturing costs and allowing the changing of the total telescoping length by either removing or adding telescoping sections. Gravity-operated locks hold each section in the extended position, while a combination in gravity-actuated and manually-actuated locks allow fine adjustment of length on one of the telescoping sections. Turning the entire assembly over to the upside down position unlocks all sections allowing the arm to be collapsed. A tail block with casterable wheels is provided to allow easy movement of the stretcher within a room.

Extendable support arm for a carpet stretcher

A retractable arrow rest activated on the initial movement of an arrow is provided. The arrow rest has a retractable pin which is an articulated pin or alternatively a telescoping pin, having a spring-loaded retract mechanism. By moving the articulated pin to an extended overcenter position, the pin is locked to support an arrow. An adjustment on the pin permits setting the sensitivity of the pin to retracting. At the proper sensitivity level, the pin will immediately retract on the first movement of the arrow (well before fletching impact). An over arrow safety lock to prevent movement of the arrow out of the rest and to prevent retraction of the pin is also provided. The safety lock allows precise hair trigger settings on the retractable pin while preventing inadvertent retractions.

Retractable arrow rest

A boat cover device for attachment to the forward end of a boat trailer is provided. The cover has a rigid forward shield to which a flexible cover and support line are attached. The rigid forward shield provides protection from road debris during towing, provides an aerodynamic forward section which reduces flutter of the flexible cover and has a compartment for storage of the flexible cover when it is removed from the boat.

A two-position geared steering device for an electric trolling motor is provided. The steering device has a tiller attached to a sector drive gear. The sector drive is rotatably mounted by a bracket on a fixed part of the electric trolling motor engaging the two-part split shaft gear which is clamped to the motor shaft. The electric trolling motor steering device provides steering with rotation of the tiller in either a vertical or horizontal plane. The sector drive gear assembly allows repositioning the sector and the tiller to operate in either the horizontal and vertical planes. The steering device may be easily adapted to an existing trolling motor using a simple clamp assembly.

An auxiliary outboard motor for boats comprising an electric propulsion motor having a propeller, a supporting shaft therefor with a first rack gear mounted thereon, a device for mounting the supporting shaft onto a boat, the mounting device comprising a primary mounting bracket for fastening to a boat and having a second rack gear secured thereto, a secondary mounting bracket pivotally connected to the primary bracket, the secondary mounting bracket comprising a housing having a bearing for supporting the supporting shaft for longitudinal movement with respect to the secondary mounting bracket, a reversible electric drive motor housed in the secondary bracket, and including a device for drivingly engaging the first and second rack gears for moving the supporting shaft longitudinally with respect to the secondary bracket and for pivoting the secondary bracket relative to the primary bracket for moving the supporting shaft between an operative position and a stowed position, and a device for disengaging said electric drive motor after a predetermined longitudinal travel of the supporting shaft.
