An asset owner may be interested in determining risks associated with physical assets, such as to damage or other loss associated with the assets. Accurately identifying such risks may be useful in determining preventative actions that may be taken to reduce data or loss associated with the assets. The systems and methods described herein generally relate to automating a process of obtaining data regarding physical assets, such as from sensors associated with the assets, determining one or more risk indicators associated with the assets, and initiating some actions based on the determined risk indicators.

A turnbuckle for adjustably locking a component of a gas turbine engine to an engine static structure is disclosed. In various embodiments, the turnbuckle includes an outer body having a first internal threading and an outer body witness hole, the outer body defining a first end configured for attachment to the component; an inner body having a first external threading, the inner body defining a second end configured for attachment to the engine static structure; and a coupling body having a second internal threading configured to threadedly engage the first external threading and a second external threading configured to engage the first internal threading, wherein the outer body witness hole extends through the outer body and is configured to detect a first short-threading of the second external threading within the first internal threading.

Core housings for gas turbine engines are described. The core housings include a housing surface defining an exterior surface of the core housing, a housing aperture arranged on the housing surface, the housing aperture configured to enable fluid communication between an external environment and an interior of the core housing, a drainage hole arranged upstream relative to the housing aperture, the drainage hole configured to enable draining of a fluid from an interior of the core housing to the external environment, and a redirection device arranged to receive a fluid from the drainage hole and direct such fluid away from the housing aperture.

The locating system includes a satellite system interface configured to determine the location of the personal surveillance system and an alternate positioning system configured to determine the location of the personal surveillance system in at least one situation where the satellite system interface cannot determine the location of the personal surveillance system.

In the roof structure, sheets of steel are placed in an upward concave position supported by beams and columns with compression members positioned between the beams. In the walls, a similar arrangement is used with sheets of steel in a concave outward position supported between the columns. A fall arresting ladder safety device for attachment to a fixed ladder side rail. The fall arresting device is to be used in conjunction with a body harness worn by the climber with a lanyard attached at one end to the body harness and the other end attached to the fall arresting device. The fall arresting device includes first and second arms pivotally connected in an X-configuration with each arm having first and second ladder side rail engaging portions disposed on opposite edges of the ladder side rail. A spring operably attached to the first and second arms biases the first and second arms between a fall arresting position and a climbing position. To ascend or descend the ladder, the handle portion of the first arm is pivoted upward to disengage the ladder side rail engaging portions of the first arm so that the device can be rolled up or down the ladder side rail as the climber ascends or descends the ladder. The arms of the fall arresting device can be locked into a disengaging position such that the fall arresting device can be removed from the ladder side rail and carried by the climber for later use when descending the ladder or ascending another ladder.

A method and apparatus for making color filters for liquid crystal display panels. A transfer layer is formed on a collector roll, and a raised pattern corresponding to the desired black matrix pattern is formed on the transfer layer by an embossing means. A plurality of colored ink patterns is formed in the appropriate location within the boundaries formed by the raised pattern, thereby forming the multicolor image that will become the color filter. This multicolored image is then transferred to the substrate. Preferably, the multicolored ink pattern is deposited to a substrate while in a deformable state, flattened during the deposition process, and the deformed, more uniform shape of the printed cells is thereafter retained, preferably by curing during deposition to the substrate.
