An attachment comb is provided for a hair clipper, and includes a comb body having a leading edge and an attachment edge, a blade-engaging surface and an opposite outer surface, and a plurality of teeth projecting from the leading edge. Sidewalls on the comb body project from the body, and at least one of the sidewalls defines a magnet opening. The blade-engaging surface has a magnet recess located adjacent a corresponding magnet opening, the magnet recess defining a magnet pocket. A magnet has a peripherally projecting base flange and is constructed and arranged for insertion through the magnet opening and such that the flange is insertable into the recess and the magnet is disposed in the magnet pocket so that a blade contacting surface of the magnet is in direct contact with a corresponding clipper blade upon assembly of the comb upon a clipper blade.

A comb holder for removably holding at least one hair clipper attachment comb, includes a frame including a first end, a second end, a first side, a second side, and having at least two elongate beams each defining one of the sides and spaced from each other, a plurality of transverse baffles having ends engaging at least one of the beams to define a plurality of open cavities between the beams, and the cavities being constructed and arranged for accommodating at least one tooth of the at least one attachment comb.

A conditioner infuser cartridge for use with a dryer attachment having an attachment end for engagement with a hair dryer barrel, an opposite air outlet end and a perforated portion between the ends having at least one air intake, the cartridge configured for engagement near the attachment end and including a conditioner element constructed and arranged for retaining a supply of vaporizable conditioner and a support frame receiving the conditioner element and securing same in the attachment.

A holder for holding a plurality of blades, where one embodiment of the holder includes a base portion, a main body and an openable cover portion. The main body is preferably configured and arranged to be removably attached to the base portion. There are a plurality of cells defined within the main body, with each cell configured and arranged to hold at least one blade on a seating portion, wherein the seating portion defines a blade seating plane. Additionally, the openable cover portion is preferably configured and arranged to be removably attached to the main body. Preferably, the base portion is separate from the main body, and these components are preferably configured to enable the holder to either be attached to a wall or seated on a horizontal surface.

An apparatus for comminuting biological specimens includes a receiving component provided with a drive source, a sample retainer configured for retaining at least one biological specimen and for engagement in the receiving component, and a single use comminution mechanism in operational relationship with the sample retainer. The drive source is configured for driving the comminution mechanism. A collector is associated with the receiving component for receiving comminuted product generated by the comminution mechanism. A blade calibration gauge for a bladeset for a hair cutter has a moving blade laterally reciprocating relative to a stationary blade, where the moving blade and the stationary blade are adjustable relative to one another in a direction normal to a direction of reciprocation. The blade calibration gauge has a base defining a recess configured for receiving the stationary blade and providing a first stop for engaging a toothed edge of the stationary blade, and a second stop on the base disposed relative to first stop for providing a designed offset spacing for a toothed cutting edge of the moving blade relative to the corresponding toothed edge of the fixed blade.

An apparatus for comminuting biological specimens includes a receiving component provided with a drive source, at least one sample retainer configured for accommodating at least one biological specimen and constructed and arranged for engagement in the receiving component. The sample retainer includes a first component configured for receiving a specimen prior to comminution and a second component for receiving the specimen after comminution. In addition, the sample retainer is insertable into the receiving component as a single piece.

Another feature of the present self-cutting hair trimmer is a housing configured to provide a cutting line associated with a generally elongate handle, which in turn provides a bladeset angle of attack substantially perpendicular to hair to be cut on all parts of a self-user's head or a subject's head when the present trimmer is held by a user in either hand.
