Materials and a method for attaching insulating material to roof ridge ventilators to prevent warm attic air from being exhausted through the louvered openings in such roof ridge ventilator systems during cool weather. At least two lengths of flexible molding material and a plurality of wire-like clamps. The wire-like clamps extend across the top of the roof ridge ventilator with each end being secured between the molding and the outer flashing portions of the roof ridge ventilator so as to secure the molding flush against vent openings in the underside surface of the roof ridge ventilator to completely block air flow therefrom.

Apparatus and method for insulating roofridge ventilator systems

A molding machine for dispensing at least two materials which, when combined, foam and cure within a mold thereby to form a plastic article. The dispensing is accomplished by displacing measured amounts of hydraulic fluid to a pair of chambers within each of which there is located a stainless steel bellows that is supplied with the respective material from a source thereof under pressure. When the displaced hydraulic fluid causes the bellows to collapse, the materials in the bellows are displaced therefrom into a mixing chamber in the form of high velocity jets and are mixed therein and the mixture is forced from the mixing chamber to the mold cavity to be filled. The bellows are then permitted to expand under the pressure of the material supplied thereto and the machine is ready for a further molding cycle.

A saw guard, especially for preventing splinters and the like for being thrown out from a saw, in which a flexible, strong, wear resistant material, such as belting, is cut into strips and the strips are connected to a housing which covers the saw from above so that a row of strips in side by side relation are in front of the saw while a row of strips arranged in parallel spaced aligned relation extend along at least one side of the saw. The strips along the side of the saw and being spaced apart permit free circulation of air through the sawing region to remove sawdust and the like therefrom but are effective in stopping splinters and the like from being thrown off from the saw because the arrangement of the strips are in parallel spaced relation.
