A fire resistive assembly including metal framing members, for example, C-joists, U-joists, open web joists, HAMBRO or other metal frame systems that support a reinforced, lightweight, dimensionally stable SCP panel. The assembly is non-combustible, water durable, mold and rot resistant, termite resistant and is capable of resisting shear loads equal to or exceeding shear loads provided by plywood or oriented strand board panels. The panels employ one or more layers of a continuous phase resulting from the curing of an aqueous mixture of inorganic binder, for example, calcium sulfate alpha hemihydrate, hydraulic cement, an active pozzolan and lime. The continuous phase is reinforced with glass fibers and contains lightweight filler particles, for example, ceramic microspheres.

Non-combustible reinforced cementitious lightweight panels and metal frame system for roofing

This invention relates to a structural cementitious panel (SCP) panel able to resist lateral forces imposed by high wind and earthquake loads in regions where they are required by building codes. These panels may be used for shear walls, flooring or roofing or other locations where shear panels are used in residential or commercial construction. The panels employ one or more layers of a continuous phase resulting from the curing of an aqueous mixture of inorganic binder reinforced with glass fibers and containing lightweight filler particles. One or more reinforcement members, such as mesh or plate sheets, are bonded to at least one surface of the panel to provide a completed panel that can breathe and has weather resistant characteristics to be capable of sustaining exposure to the elements during construction, without damage.

An exterior wall assembly water management system that provides the designer and building owner with the popular esthetics of synthetic stucco and the long-term reliability of water management. The water managed exterior system includes flashing, a weather-resistive barrier, a water durable board, a basecoat and an exterior finish. Either the water durable board, or an insulation layer secured to the water durable board, forms the exterior cladding of the building structure, and the basecoat and the exterior stucco finish are applied to the outer surface of the water durable board, or in the alternative to the insulation layer. The disclosed water managed exterior system efficiently directs any penetrating water to weeps, or the like, by providing a water drainage medium between the weather-resistive barrier and the water durable board. The unwanted water drains downwards via the drainage medium, is caught at the base of the wall by the flashing, and is further drained outside of the wall cladding.

An integral clamp and screw in the shape of an L has a panel supporting leg and a leg from which a screw projects through and beyond the panel supporting leg. The clamp is used to support a building panel while aligning said panel over the framing members to which it is to be attached and while fastening the panel to said members. The screw is turned into a framing member, such as a ceiling joist or wall stud, by turning the clamp by hand until the panel support leg is close enough to hold the panel loosely against the member, putting the panel into place and then turning the clamp further until the supporting leg holds the panel tightly against the framing member.

A tie-down runner to increase resistance to shear and racking forces in mobile home wall constructions is disclosed. Said tie-down runner having a generally J-shape and suitable for use at upper and lower ends of wall studding to increase resistance to said forces and to additionally provide increased attachment surfaces for interior wall panel members. A method for increasing resistance to shear and racking forces is also provided.
