The invention comprises a dispensing device having an elongated body, a sidewall which is elliptical in at least a portion of its cross-section, an open top end, and a dispensing bottom end. The device comprises a ratchet, ratchet support member, dial, telescoping members, and an elliptical plunger. The ratchet support member and dial each engage the ratchet to allow movement in certain directions and prevent movement in other directions, beyond a certain point. A first telescoping member is affixed to the ratchet. The exterior diameter of a second telescoping member is smaller than the interior diameter of the first telescoping member, such that the second telescoping member is configured to nest within the interior of the first telescoping member. The second telescoping member may be extended a distance through the dispenser body via rotation of the ratchet. The plunger is affixed to the telescoping member having the smallest diameter.

Twist action portion control sauce dispenser

The invention comprises a dispensing device having an elongated body, a sidewall which is elliptical in at least a portion of its cross-section, an open top end, and a dispensing bottom end. The device comprises a ratchet, ratchet support member, dial, telescoping members, and an elliptical plunger. The ratchet support member and dial each engage the ratchet to allow movement in certain directions and prevent movement in other directions, beyond a certain point. A first telescoping member having the smallest diameter is affixed to the ratchet. The interior diameter of a second telescoping member is larger than the exterior diameter of the first telescoping member, such that the first telescoping member is configured to nest within the interior of the second telescoping member. The first telescoping member may be extended a distance through the dispenser body via rotation of the ratchet. The plunger is affixed to the telescoping member having the largest diameter.

A dispensing device having an elongated dispenser body which is elliptical in cross-section through its midsection, has an open top end, and has a dispensing bottom end; a cylindrical ratchet support member which is removably disposed within the open top end of the dispenser body, wherein the ratchet support member comprises a through hole one and or more ribs disposed on the inside of its circumferential sidewall; and a wheel-shaped ratchet which is removably disposed within the ratchet support member, wherein the ratchet has radially extending teeth which are configured to engage with the ratchet support member ribs, the ratchet configuration allows rotary motion in a first direction over the ribs, the ratchet configuration prevents rotary motion in a second, opposite direction past a point defined by the ribs, and the ratchet comprises ribs disposed on the top surface of the ratchet wheel.

A dispenser for granular materials and a method of seasoning using the dispenser is provided. The dispenser has multiple deflectors. The deflectors can deflect granular materials in tangential and radial directions. The dispenser has a dispensing mechanism actuated by a user-manipulable lever connected to a yoke in which a pin is received for rotating a member of the dispenser. The dispenser achieves consistent quantities with each dispense with three different features. One feature is having a rim partially raised around the first member aperture. Another feature is pushing elements that cooperate with the partially raised rim. A third feature is radially staggered dispensing apertures.

Measuring dispenser for granular seasoning material and method of seasoning

A cutting apparatus is provided having a resilient handle, a guide on one end of the handle and a cutter body on the opposite end. The guide includes two spaced members forming an outwardly facing slot with a stop formed therein. The handle is flexed into an assembled position to form a close loop, with the cutter body positioned within the guide slot and in contact with the stop. A cutting edge is movable along with cutter body to an activated position, with the cutting edge extending outwardly of the slot and the guide. The movement of the cutter body is caused by an activation force applied to the closed loop of the resilient handle member.

Cutting apparatus

A dispenser is provided for delivering a controlled quantity of a granular material. The dispenser includes a reservoir that retains granular material. The reservoir is supported in the dispenser with a passageway defined between opposing ends. A nozzle is provided for the outflow of material from the reservoir to a metering cup. A control plug is provided within the metering cup to adjust the controlled volume to be received within the cup from the reservoir. Once the metering cup is filled, the dispenser is inverted and the volume of material is directed from the cup, through the passageway and out of an opening adjacent a diffuser. The control plug is removable from the cup to vary the charge of material to be dispensed.

Adjustable metered material dispenser

A device is provided for dispensing a length of elongate material wound on the barrel of a spool. A support is provided for the spool including first and second end plates. The end plates are positioned in a spaced relationship. A support hub extends from each plate and is engaged within an opening in the spool on opposite sides thereof, such that the spool may rotate about the support hub. The support hub includes a peripheral dimension that permits a dynamic, pivoting motion of the spool about the contact with the hub. The support hub normally positions the spool in a radially offset position and engages a friction member formed adjacent the periphery of the flange of the spool. During unwinding, pulling of the end of the elongate material causes the spool to pivot in the direction of the pulling force and away from the friction member. Once the pulling force is removed, the spool pivots about the hub, back into frictional engagement with the friction member.

Dispenser for elongate material

The invention relates to a tray plug that includes a base portion; a plurality of towers extending upwardly away from the base portion; a secondary base portion contiguous with the underside of the base portion; and a means for securing the plug to a display structure, whereby the tray plug can be quickly secured and subsequently removed from a display such as a point-of-purchase display.

Tray plug

An end cap is attached to a container body to form a liquid media package for dispensing liquid media. The end cap includes an aperture in fluid communication with the liquid media in the package. The end cap also includes at least one radial arm extending outwardly from the aperture, each radial arm being in fluid communication with the aperture. Each radial arm includes at least one flexible wiper in a closed position, and one orifice corresponding to each of the at least one flexible wipers. When pressure is exerted on the liquid media, the liquid media travels through the aperture and then through the radial arms. The pressure of the liquid media displaces the flexible wiper so as to enable flow of the liquid media through an orifice in the bottom of the end cap. The flexible wiper returns to the closed position when exertion of pressure ceases.

Dispensing end cap

A shipping base for washers, dryers, and the like appliances. The base is in the form of a frame having top surfaces of outer parts thereof which are set relatively lower than the top surfaces of relative inner portions of the frame. Sockets are provided at the corners, to grip and receive the feet of the appliance. The sockets having radial ribs that deflect to grip the feet of the appliance.

Shipping base for appliances

A dispenser is provided for delivering a controlled quantity of a granular material. The dispenser includes a container assembly, a diffuser and a metering cup. The container includes a reservoir which supports a disposable cartridge of granular material. The cartridge is supported in the reservoir so as to define a passageway therebetween. A nozzle is defined for the outflow of material from the cartridge. The diffuser is disposed on one end of the container and includes a plurality of apertures. The metering cup is disposed on the opposite end of the container and has an open end adapted to receive granular material. Adjustment of the axial spacing between the nozzle and metering cup varies the quantity of granular material collected in the cup. The granular material is dispensed by inverting the container to a second orientation, such that material flows out of the metering cup, through the passageway and out of the diffuser. The nozzle may serve as a piercing mechanism for opening the disposable cartridge upon its insertion into the reservoir.

Reconfigurable metered material dispenser

A pressure-activated flexible valve for use with a container for dispensing fluid material. The valve has a single sealing surface and comprises an inner component having a sealing portion and an outer component having an annular rim that seats against the sealing portion. The outer component also has a flexible portion that changes shape in response to pressure from the container material, thereby opening and closing the valve.

A dispenser is provided for sprinkling a preset quantity of granted material, such as table salt. The dispenser comprises a granulated material reservoir, an enclosure, a metering cup, a cap, a collector and a diffuser. The reservoir has a side, a top and a bottom wall. The enclosure encases the reservoir side wall and is closed at one end by a cap adjacent to the reservoir bottom wall. The metering cup is positioned in the cap and an opening in the reservoir bottom wall communicates with and fills the metering cup. A collector is positioned adjacent to the top wall of the reservoir. A passageway formed between the reservoir sidewall and the enclosure communicates with the metering cup and collector. The diffuser is positioned adjacent to an opening in the collector and opposite the collector. When the dispenser is in the upright position, granulated material from the reservoir fills the metering cup. When the dispenser is inverted, the granulated material flows from the metering cup through the passageway to the collector. The collector directs the granulated material to the diffuser that sprinkles the granulated material over a desired area.

Metered material dispenser

A container for refrigerated dough or other expandable products and a condiment cup therein for containing icing and the like includes the following construction. The container has an elongate cylindrical body with an interior wall of a predetermined diameter and end closures. The condiment cup is of a flexible plastic generally cup-shaped construction having a generally cylindrical side wall closed at one end by a dome-shaped convex end and open at the other end. The cylindrical side wall has an outside diameter only slightly less than the diameter of the container interior wall so as to provide a loose friction fit when the condiment cup is positioned within the container cylindrical body portion. The condiment cup is filled with condiment and positioned within the container at one end of the cylindrical body portion with the open end of the cup facing the end closure at the one end. The container is filled with refrigerated dough or other expandable product, so that, as the product expands within the container, the product will push against the dome-shaped convex end of the condiment cup for flexing the cup end inwardly to cause flexing of the cup side wall outwardly to provide a tighter friction fit with the container interior wall to seal the condiments in the cup from the product in the container.

Container and condiment cup for refrigerated dough or like products

A re-usable yarn carrier to be mounted on a winding machine and to have yarn wound on and unwound therefrom is provided. The yarn carrier includes a hollow cylindrical tube which is preferably made of a plastic material. Each end of the tube is provided with a channel. The transition between the outside surface of the tube and the channel is formed by a shoulder. A resilient ring is positioned within each channel. The resilient ring is engaged by the base surface of the channel and forms an engagement surface adjacent to the shoulder on the tube. Further, the end of the ring positioned proximal to the end of the tube forms a protective edge. Thus, if the tube is dropped, the ring takes the brunt of the force rather than the tube material itself. The formation of the ring within the channel within the tube forms a yarn winding engagement surface. In addition, the resilient rings may be provided in various colors and forms so as to provide identification for the type of yarn on the tube.
