All of the components of a collapsible easel are formed of a rigid plastics material and include three telescopic legs each formed by an upper inner leg section or channel slidable within a lower outer leg section or channel having opposing flanges for retaining the upper leg channel. The top end portions of the upper leg channels are connected to a connector member which forms snap-fit pivotal connections with the leg channels, and the bottom end portions of the upper leg channels have snap-fit pivotal connections to the outer end portions of corresponding leg support members or channels. Another connector member forms snap-fit pivotal connections to the inner end portions of the leg support channels, and the lower end portions of the upper leg channels have integrally molded spring finger lock buttons which snap-fit into selected holes within the lower leg channels. Pivotal support fingers are retained within slots within two lower leg channels by the corresponding upper leg channels.

Erasable markerboards are disclosed having permanent information immobilized in its erasable polymeric surface. The markerboards are suitable for receiving erasable liquid ink images that are removable by eraser means without any residual ghost of the image remaining on the marking surface. The permanent information is sublimed into and extends below the marking surface and is unaffected by erasable inks and eraser means to which the marking surface would normally be subjected in use.

A mounting strip for clamping flexible sheet material or other objects includes an elongated U-shaped, rigid plastic channel having a forward leg forming a bearing surface and a rearward leg forming a mounting surface. An elongated flexible gripper tongue is formed along the mounting surface of the channel and includes a clamping surface adapted to engage the bearing surface of the forward leg of the channel for receiving and clamping an article such as sheet material therebetween. The rigid plastic channel and flexible plastic gripper tongue are preferably co-extruded in a single operation to form a one-piece mounting strip having cooperating clamping elements with different durometer hardnesses.

An apparatus for clamping a pad of large papers to an upright support includes a back support adapted to mount to the upright support and a clamping member pivotally mounted to the back support and movable with respect to the back support between an open position for insertion of the paper pad between the back support and clamping member, and a closed position in which the clamping member clamps the paper pad against the back support. An elongated, extruded aluminum alloy spring is connected between the clamping member and back support for locking the clamping member in both the open and closed positions.

Clamp

A cardboard panel is printed with identifying and advertising information and carries an article confined between two flexible sheets of transparent plastics material. The sheets are heat-welded together to form a display case for the article and have outwardly projecting border portions which are adhesively bonded to the front face of the panel. A line of weakening is formed within the sheets between the case and the border portions to provide for separating the case from the panel and to provide a reusable storage and carrying case for the article.
