A step data to synchro converter for coupling one of a plurality of different step data transmitters to one of a plurality of different synchro receivers. The output of the step data transmitter is applied to an interface circuit and processed into a three bit binary code suitable for actuating a plurality of switching means. The switching means selectively apply an in-phase and an out-of-phase output of a transformer, which is responsive to the synchro receiver's reference voltage and frequency source, to a plurality of transformers associated with the input stator windings of the synchro receiver. The output of the plurality of transformers is a drive signal which satisfactorily approximates synchro data.

Step data to synchro converter

A synchro-to-step data converter for coupling one of a plurality of different synchro transmitters to one of a plurality of different step motors. The three wire output data of a synchro transmitter is demodulated into a three bit binary step data code and is applied to digital decoding means. The digital decoding means converts the step data code into a format suitable for application to a particular step motor and/or compensates for the speed of the synchro input shaft relative to the step motor output shaft.

Synchro-to-step data converter

A device for automatically controlling the intensity of light impinging on the face plate of a television camera includes a shutter which is operated through a pulse width modulator so as to be opened for a length of time which varies inversely with the intensity of light entering the imaging light path between the scene and the camera.

Pulse modulated automatic light control

An oscillating apparatus allowing for synchronization to an external sinusoidal source, and in which a unidirectional element is so located that the oscillating device may be replaced without the necessity of altering circuit elements to maintained synchronization and the desired nominal frequency of operation.

Oscillating apparatus

A switching circuit which is actuated when the frequency of an input signal falls below a specified value, includes an input circuit for providing a rectangular pulse train consisting of pulses having durations indicative of the frequency of the input signal. The rectangular wave train is used to actuate a pair of one-shot multivibrators adjusted to produce output pulses having durations such that the pulses from the first one-shot correspond to an upper reference frequency slightly below that of a nominal input frequency, and the pulses from the second one-shot correspond to a lower reference frequency equal to the minimum acceptable input frequency. The output signals from the one-shot multivibrators are applied to clock terminals of first and second edge-triggered flip-flops, whereas the D input terminals of the same flip-flops are actuated by the rectangular pulse train. Each edge-triggered flip-flop operates so that the first positive-going clock pulse transfers the instantaneous value of its D input signal to its output terminal. The transferred signals from the two flip-flops are applied to clear and preset terminals, respectively, of a latching flip-flop which produces a disabling signal when the frequency of the input signal falls below the minimum acceptable value and retains the disabling signal until the input frequency is increased to a level at least as high as that represented by the upper reference frequency.
