A rocket assembly apparatus is disclosed in which a vertical assembly building houses a multi-stage rocket and provides a clear work area around the entire circumference of the rocket. A mobile rocket service tower is moveable on the floor of the vertical assembly building to any desired circumferential location with respect to the rocket and has a plurality of cantilevered access platforms with curved outer edges for conforming to the shape of the rocket at various vertical and circumferential positions.

Method and apparatus for the joining of one tubular member to another tubular member through the use of the substantially instantaneous application of high energy to the tubular members, such as by the use of explosives, while placing one tubular member in a state of substantially elastic deformation and the other tubular member in a state of substantially plastic and elastic deformation.

A method and apparatus for supporting a deep water guyed marine structure has a foundation which uses a system of piles connected to the marine structure only at a top portion thereof. The marine structure further has a mooring system which employs pairs of transversely, closely spaced guy lines connected to clump weights and further pairs of transversely, closely spaced guy lines connected from the clump weights to an anchor system. The marine structure mooring system can further provide a vessel mooring system in order to provide adequate control of the vessels during on and off loading of the marine structure and further to prevent fouling of the marine structure mooring system.
