A moisture removal apparatus for a breathing circuit may include a breathing gas conduit configured to receive a flow of breathing gas having a first humidity level. The apparatus may include a dry gas conduit adjacent to at least a portion of the breathing gas conduit, the dry gas conduit configured to receive a flow of dry gas having a second humidity level lower than the first humidity level. The apparatus may also include a feeding conduit extending through at least a portion of the dry gas conduit, the feeding conduit configured to introduce the dry gas into the dry gas conduit. The apparatus may further include a moisture transmission pathway configured to enable transfer of moisture from the breathing gas to the dry gas based on the humidity differential.

Moisture removal and condensation and humidity management apparatus for a breathing circuit

An aerosol inhalation spacer for use with a metered-dose inhaler canister is disclosed. The spacer includes a transparent chamber housing having a body with an input end and an output end and defining an interior space. A mouthpiece is connected to the output end of the chamber housing. An inhaler adapter is connected to the input end of the chamber housing. A valve member is disposed between the mouthpiece and the output end of the chamber housing, the valve member includes a one-way inhalation valve and a one-way exhalation valve. A flow indicator is connected to the inhaler adapter and extends into the interior space of the chamber housing for indicating an inhalation flow rate to the user.

A moisture removal and condensation and humidity management apparatus for a breathing circuit includes a breathing circuit tubing defining a breathing gas conduit. The breathing gas has a first humidity level and a level of moisture therein. A dry gas conduit is adjacent at least a portion of the breathing gas conduit. The dry gas flow is configured to have a second humidity level lower than the first humidity level. A moisture transmission pathway is provided between the breathing gas conduit and the dry gas conduit, such that humidity in the flow of breathing gas is lowered and moisture is transferred to the dry gas flow. The moisture transmission pathway may be provided by a permeable portion which is permeable to water vapor but impermeable to liquid water, or by one or more perforations which permit drainage of liquid water from the breathing gas conduit to the dry gas conduit.

Disclosed herein is an implant assembly including an alignment guide for aligning the engagement between a glenosphere and baseplate via a central screw engaged to the baseplate. The glenosphere includes first and second recess portions. The first recess portion of the glenosphere is configured to engage a tapered side surface of the baseplate and the second recess portion of the glenosphere is configured to engage a portion of a head of the central screw projecting outwardly from a top surface of the baseplate when engaged thereto. The portion of the head of the central screw projecting outwardly from the baseplate is slip-fit into the second recess of the glenosphere. This engagement aids the alignment of the glenosphere and the baseplate and helps to ensure the accurate alignment of the tapered engagement of the side surface of the baseplate and the first recess of the glenosphere.

Trials for a reverse shoulder system are described. The trials generally include an insert housed within a humeral cup. The insert has a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end having a concave recess therein adapted to receive a glenosphere prosthesis. The distal end of the insert includes a shaft, the shaft is substantially housed within the confines of the humeral cup. A distal end of the humeral cup is inserted in a humeral stem.

Described herein is an expandable shoulder trial for a reverse shoulder system including a rotatably adjustable insert housed within a humeral cup. The insert has proximal and distal ends, the proximal end having a concave recess therein adapted to receive a glenosphere prosthesis. The distal end of the insert includes a shaft, the shaft having a helical groove disposed on at least a portion thereof. A distal end of the humeral cup is inserted in a humeral stem. The humeral cup has a proximal end including a recess therein, the recess defined by a circular wall. A guide pin protrudes from the circular wall and is adapted to engage the helical groove of the insert shaft. The proximal end of the insert may rotate along an axis toward the proximal end of the humeral cup and along the same axis away from the proximal end of the humeral cup.

The humeral cup has a proximal end including a recess therein, the recess defined by a circular wall. A guide pin protrudes from the circular wall and is adapted to engage the helical groove of the shaft of the insert. The proximal end of the insert may rotate along an axis toward the proximal end of the humeral cup and along the same axis away from the proximal end of the humeral cup.
