A wearable article includes hook-and-loop fastening components. The hook-and-loop fastening components have a section of nonwoven web material on which an array of hooks is formed. At least some of the hooks may be integrally formed from the nonwoven material. The section of nonwoven web material may also include a section of loops material, wherein at least some of the loops may be integrally formed from the web material. The section of loops material may have a machine direction dimension of at least 20 mm and a cross direction dimension of at least 20 mm, and a surface area of at least 314 mm. The article may further include an identifiable linear path, the identifiable linear path having a width greater than 2 mm and forming an angle with the machine direction of 45 degrees or less. Any such identifiable path at least partially overlies the loops-forming bond(s), at a plurality of locations along the identifiable linear path.

Fastening systems comprising nonwoven substrates with hooks formed integrally thereon

A disposable absorbent article that includes a frangible bonding agent for maintaining the absorbent article in a predetermined configuration. The frangible bonding agent may be disposed on a fastening system in order to maintain one or more portions of the fastening system in a particular position during manufacturing but still provide an easy-to-open fastener when used by a consumer.

A fastener for a disposable absorbent article, having a fixed portion attachable to the article, a connective portion joined to and contiguous with the fixed portion, and a folding line disposed between the fixed and connective portions. The fastener may be free of a release tape. The fastener may further comprise an adhesive disposed upon a surface of the fixed portion of the fastener being attached to the article, the adhesive being offset from each of the edges of the fixed portion including the edge formed by the folding line, the dimensions of the offsets being defined herein. The adhesive may be applied during the assembly of the absorbent article on a converting line.

Fastening systems for use with absorbent articles

A method for folding a fastener during a high speed manufacturing process and maintaining the fastener in a folded configuration throughout the high speed manufacturing process. The method includes obtaining an article that has a foldable fastener and moving the article in the machine direction during the high speed manufacturing process. The foldable fastener has first and second opposing surfaces, a web and at least one engaging member joined to the web. The method includes applying a frangible bonding agent to a first portion of the first surface of the fastening system; folding the fastening system such that the frangible bonding agent contacts a second portion of the first surface of the fastening system; and allowing the frangible bonding agent to cool at a temperature of less than 60&#xb0; C.

Method for maintaining a fastener in a folded configuration

Disclosed are anhydrous antiperspirant sticks that comprise from about 0.5% to about 60% by weight of particulate antiperspirant active; from about 16% to about 50% by weight of a solid suspending agent; from about 10% to about 80% by weight of a volatile silicone; and from about 1% to about 35% by weight of a non volatile silicone, wherein the sticks are preferably substantially free of nonvolatile organic liquids having a C log P value greater than 5.5, and have a product hardness of at least about 600 gram&middot;force. The sticks are further characterized by defined low residue and/or high antiperspirant efficacy measures. These compositions contain relatively high solid suspending agent concentrations of at least 16% by weight and still provide low residue performance and high antiperspirant efficacy.

High efficacy, low residue antiperspirant stick compositions

Disclosed are solid cosmetic stick compositions having a preferred product hardness of at least about 600 gram.force, and which comprises from about 0.01% to about 60% by weight of a cosmetic active; from about 10% to about 95% by weight of a liquid carrier; from about 1% to about 60% by weight of a solid polymorphic triglyceride gellant that within the composition is substantially free of long range crystalline order. By selecting the crystalline phase of the triglyceride gellant in the finished product, these cosmetic sticks provide improved product hardness at lower triglyceride gellant concentrations.

Disclosed are solid antiperspirant and deodorant sticks having a product hardness of at least about 600 gram&middot;force, and which comprises from about 0.1% to about 60% by weight of antiperspirant or deodorant active; from about 10% to about 95% by weight of a liquid carrier; from about 1% to about 60% by weight of a solid polymorphic triglyceride gellant that within the composition is substantially free of long range crystalline order. By selecting the crystalline phase of the triglyceride gellant in the finished product, these antiperspirant and deodorant sticks provide improved product hardness at lower triglyceride gellant concentrations and provide improved low residue performance and antiperspirant efficacy.

Disclosed are anhydrous cosmetic compositions comprising from about 0.01% to about 60% by weight of a cosmetic active; from about 10% to about 90% by weight of a liquid carrier; and from about 1% to about 60% by weight of a solid, polymorphic, unsubstituted, triglyceride gellant characterized by &bgr;&prime;-2 crystalline order within the compositions. These compositions can be formulated as hard sticks, soft solids or creams, and have improved high temperature texture and phase stability and maintain product hardness even after exposure to high and then low storage temperatures.

These compositions can be formulated as hard sticks, soft solids or creams, and have improved high temperature texture and phase stability and maintain product hardness even after exposure to high and then low storage temperatures.
