In one embodiment, an apparatus comprising a first audio looping device is provided. The first audio looping device is electrically coupled to a computing device. The first audio looping device is programmed to receive a first audio signal from a musical instrument and to store the first audio signal. The first audio looping device is further programmed to playback the stored first audio signal as a first audio loop a number of times and to transmit the first audio loop to a second audio looping device via the first computing device. The first audio looping device is further programmed to receive a second audio loop from the second audio looping device via the computing device.

In at least one embodiment, an apparatus for generating virtual venues in a listening room in a vehicle is provided. The apparatus includes a vehicle audio controller configured to receive an incoming audio signal including entertainment data from an audio source for playback and to receive at least one captured audio signal from at least one microphone positioned in the listening room of the vehicle. The architecture coordinates the processing of data for multiple instructions through a multiple stage data pipeline. As a result, the architecture not only supports simultaneous execution of multiple programs, but also permits each program to execute without delays caused by inter-relationships between instructions within the program.

This invention provides a system for customizing musical instrument signal processing enabling users to produce different tonal characteristics in created musical pieces. In order to create such tonal characteristics, a new mathematical model of tonal characteristics may be digitally created based on two or more initial mathematical models of tonal characteristics. After simulating a first and second initial mathematical models of tonal characteristics, the new mathematical model is created by interpolating one or more coefficients of the first and second initial mathematical models. The new mathematical model may also adjust a control parameter where the control parameter may exist between two values. When the control parameter is the first value, the new mathematical model is the first initial mathematical model. When the control parameter is the second value, the new mathematical model may be the second initial mathematical model. When the control parameter is located at a point between the first and second values, the new mathematical model may represent a convergence between the first and second models.

This invention provides a system capable of delivering recorded music pieces to users and empowering the users with control features allowing for customization of the music. Recorded music pieces may be stored and recalled when selected by a user. Each musical piece may include one or more music modules corresponding to one or more musical instruments of The piece. Through a selection menu, the user may select one or more of the modules for inclusion in a customized version of The selected recorded music piece. The user may further adjust the pitch and/or tempo of the musical piece. Once customized by the user, the recorded musical piece may be integrated with sounds created by the user performing a selected musical instrument or instruments. The user may also select predefined special effect setup information module(s) that may be loaded into the signal processor capable of emulating the sonic characteristics of the recording of the recorded music piece. This integrated sound may thus mimic the original recorded music piece.
