Disclosed are systems and methods of sensor fusion for exemplary use with robotic navigation control. Systems and methods include providing local estimates of a target location from a plurality of expert modules that process sensor data. The local estimates are weighted based upon a Mahalanobis distance from an expected estimated value and based upon a Euclidean distance between the local estimates. The local estimates are fused in a Bayesian fusion center based upon the weight given to each of the local estimates.

Robotic tracking navigation with data fusion

A cable carrier () has top () and bottom () longitudinally continuous sides, with one side () more flexible and the opposite side () less flexible. The sides are made of continuous sheets of material to define a closed tubular shape in which energy carriers can be housed and supported. The sheets may be integral, or have integral parts, and can be extruded. The carrier may be longitudinally openable with a zipper structure () to permit loading of energy carriers.

Monolithic enclosed cable carrier

A way cover section is shaped with a continuous lateral arc by pre-stressing so that its top panel has a radius in its top panel from one side panel of the cover section to the other. A wiper at the leading edge of the cover sections that may also serve as a bumper. The wiper has an elastomeric wiper section at one end and an elastomeric bumper section at the other end, with an intermediate section of a harder and more lubricious material that fits on a rolled over edge of the cover section to which the wiper is attached.

A cable and hose carrier support framework or walker is engaged by and independently driven by the carrier at an arcuate bend thereof for transferring a portion of a carrier load from the bend to a support surface beneath the lower run of the carrier in a manner which will prevent cogging and undue wear of the carrier.

A composite cable carrier for supporting flexible cable, hoses or other conduit is made of two parallel chains of metal side links that are pivotally joined end to end. The links are connected by snap-on nylon retainer clips, rivets or pins, and the chains are joined laterally by snap-on nylon cross-bars. Stop posts of outer plates extend into slots of inner plates from both sides, with sharp 90&deg; inside and outside corners for improved load handling ability. Integrally formed straps may be provided for added strength of the stop posts, and the straps are oriented along radials of the link pivot. The metal-nylon composite carrier is strong but light-weight, having a high load capacity so that it can be used in applications with heavy cables and/or long unsupported spans.

An energy transmission line carrier for supporting and enclosing flexible cable, hoses or other conduit is made of two parallel chains of side links that are pivotally joined end to end with snap-fit connections. One end of each side link has stop elements that limit the angular motion of the chain to only one direction from a generally straight position and to a certain radius when fully pivoted. The side links have two sets of opposing fingers and troughs for receiving the beaded edges of lateral covers, the troughs on one side of the chains having a lead-in to ease the insertion of the beaded cover. The fingers and troughs limit lateral movement and resist separation of the covers laterally and transversely, while permitting longitudinal sliding of the covers relative to the side chains. The covers flex longitudinally and slide between the troughs and fingers as the side links pivot, and for assembly and disassembly of the covers to the side chains.
