An industrial fabric is described which comprises a woven fabric body having opposing ends. The fabric repeating weave pattern includes at least two systems of vertically stacked machine direction warp yarns interwoven with at least one system of cross machine direction weft yarns. On each end of the fabric at least some of the warp yarns form a first set of loops each of which is at a first angle to the machine direction, at least some of the warp yarns form a second set of loops each of which is at a second angle to the machine direction and each of the second set of loops is substantially concentric with the first set of angled loops to provide double end loops which can be seamed by using a coil seam or a pin seam. This fabric structure has the advantage that it is possible to use all of the fabric warp yarns in the loops, thus significantly increasing the tensile strength of the seam. It also permits the fabrication of a flatter seam. This seam design is of particular use in dryer fabrics for a paper making machine.

Dryer fabric seam

A woven industrial fabric, including a plurality of warp yarns interwoven with a plurality of weft yarns. At least a portion of one of the plurality of warp and the plurality of weft yarns includes yarn assemblies. Each yarn assembly is comprised of at least a first and a second yarn. The yarns are structured and arranged in the woven fabric so as to be in generally continuous, contiguous contact with each other substantially throughout the fabric.

Industrial fabric including yarn assemblies

A multilayer through-air dryer (TAD) fabric architecture having a single warp yarn system with a maximum warp fill and a weft yarn system comprised of two sets of weft yarns selected to set the warp yarn height above the weft yarns without embedment into the fabric plane, the warp and weft yarns interlacing to form diagonal apertures within the fabric to produce a high fabric air permeability for providing increased paper sheet bulk without compromising paper machine running parameters. A method of using the TAD fabric of the present invention for forming a paper sheet having increased bulk and a predetermined embossed pattern. Also, a method for manufacturing a TAD fabric to provide increased bulk and a predetermined embossed pattern of the paper sheet.

Multilayer through-air dryer fabric

An industrial textile, such as a papermaking fabric, including a plurality of pre-crimped thermoplastic components. The pre-crimped components include dimensioned indentations that are complementary in size and shape to the components with which they are assembled. Methods of manufacture of the components and assembly of the textiles are also provided.

Industrial textiles assembled from pre-crimped components

A tie component comprising first and second pre-crimped portions. Each pre-crimped portion has a plurality of alternating indentations and projections. The pre-crimped portions are joined by alignment and relative movement with respect to one another such that at least one of the first portion projections engages at least one of the second portion indentations and at least one of the second portion projections engages at least one of the first portion indentations.

Pre-crimped tie components

A flat woven, pin seamed, papermakers' fabric, comprising primary warp monofilament yarns, primary weft monofilament yarns and secondary weft monofilament yarns located between and adjacent to the primary weft yarns. The secondary weft yarns are located beneath, and in contact with, the primary warp. The thickness and width of the secondary weft yarns are chosen at the weaving stage so as to control finished fabric air permeability and increase the paper side surface contact area. The fabrics are of a lower caliper, and provide increased cross direction stiffness at lower yarn counts. Formation of the pintle receiving loop yarns in a low marking woven back pin seam, or of a streamline seam, is also facilitated, without compromising fabric properties, by selection of the appropriate dimensions of the secondary weft yarns. The fabrics are woven using either round or flattened primary warp yarns, and either round or flattened monofilament primary weft yarns, or a combination thereof, according to any weave pattern which provides for floats of the primary warp yarns that extend over two or more adjacent primary weft.
