A truck cap having a cap body with an opening, and a cap door that is movable between open and closed positions with respect to the opening. At least one hinge that attaches to the cap body and the cap door of the truck cap. The hinge includes a first hinge bracket member and a second hinge bracket member. The first hinge bracket member includes a hinge bracket to receive a pivot pin. The second hinge bracket member includes a hinge bracket with an opening sized to receive at least a portion of the pivot pin. The first hinge bracket member and the second hinge bracket member are pivotable with respect to each other about the pivot pin. A longitudinally extending gas prop pivotably attached to the pin extending from the second angled portion of the first hinge bracket member and to the pin of the second hinge bracket member.

Truck cap

Various arrangements of a bicycle carrier for transport by motorized vehicle include a particular type of clamping device for securely gripping the tire of a bicycle wheel mounted therein. The clamp comprises a pair of generally parallel, spaced-apart side panels adapted to receive a bicycle wheel and frictionally engage the tire when the panels are drawn together by a suitable closure, such as a bolt and nut combination. Theft protection is afforded by a padlock extending through holes in the two panels. In one arrangement, the clamp is stamped of sheet metal with the side panels being flexible enough to accommodate being drawn together by the adjustable closure. In another arrangement, the side panels are hinged to a base plate so that they can be pivoted into frictional engagement with the bicycle tire. The carrier mounts transversely on a longitudinal support member adapted for installation in the receiver portion of a conventional vehicle-mounted trailer hitch.

Bicycle carrier for motor vehicles

Bicycle carrier apparatus includes an H-shaped support frame bearing a pair of opposed threaded clamping members for rigidly gripping the bicycle pedal crank arm mounting bolts on opposite ends of the central crank arm shaft. A further support for the front wheel is provided in which the front wheel tire is frictionally engaged in a secure clamping device. A pair of individual bicycle carriers are affixed to a longitudinal support member which attaches to the receiver portion of a standard vehicle-mounted trailer hitch. An additional pair of bicycle carriers in a similar configuration may be connected to the first carrier apparatus by means of a simple connector assembly. A cartop rack is also disclosed as well as a variant which also mounts to a trailer hitch receiver.

Bicycle crank shaft support carrier

A pull-down type arrow rest support for an archery bow is disclosed. The downward motion of the lower limb tip as the bow changes from its drawn position to its relaxed position is used to pull down the arrow rest support out of the path of the arrow. There is no need for cocking the device each time before an arrow is fired, and the pulled-down arrow rest support clears even the largest fletchings so that the arrow is not deflected from its intended path. The arrow rest support disclosed makes it possible to use a V-spool rest or can be adapted to use other commercially available arrow rests. Provisions are made for precise vertical and horizontal adjustments of the arrow position, and the V-rest can be adjusted to accommodate any size arrow.

Bow-limb-operated pull-down arrow rest support

The two-wheeled vehicle assembly includes a motorcycle, motorbike or powered bicycle having a frame, a pair of wheels, one behind the other, a steering column, including a pair of handlebars and handles, a seat and a motor, and a throttle, throttle linkage as well as a throttle control, the latter connected to one of the handlebars, directly or indirectly. The assembly also includes a moveable auxiliary steering device which extends rearwardly from at least one of the handlebars or steering column, adjacent the seat and which enables the rider to lean back in a relaxed position in the seat, with his or her hands off of the handlebars and still be able to fully and precisely steer the vehicle. The auxiliary steering device can be made to pivot out of the way when desired and is individually repositionable for maximum ease and convenience. It includes an elongated arm, preferably with multiple articulated sections. It may also have a rotatable rear handle connected to the rear end of a wire throttle control extension, the front end of which is connected either to a wheel secured to a rotatable throttle control sleeve in one of the handlebars or directly to the carburetor throttle linkage. The assembly is simple, durable and efficient, permitting full steering and speed control while the rider is in a relaxed semi-reclining posture on the seat.

Two-wheeled motor vehicle assembly

An improved mechanical bowstring release device automatically biased to the locked position comprises a hollow, preferably generally cylindrical housing having a central space along the length thereof and a bowstring retainer bar pivotally secured to the housing in the space. A string-retaining end of the bar extends into an opening in the front end of the housing. The bar also includes an opposite coupling end. The bar is pivotable between a bowstring-drawing locked position and a bowstring-releasing unlocked position. An elongated lever arm extends longitudinally of and is pivoted in the housing space, the rear portion thereof extending rearwardly of the housing, the front end thereof being adjacent and generally rearward of the retainer coupling end. One or more couplers connect the front end of the lever arm and the coupling end of the bar. A biasing spring automatically urges the front end of the arm into a position which locks the bar. Finger pressure against the arm rear end results in pivoting of that arm front end to cause movement of the couplers and bar coupling end to cause the bar to pivot into the unlocked string-releasing position. A retainer limit component is also present to prevent rotation of the retainer bar to an unlocked position unbiased by the biasing spring toward the locked position.

Bowstring release device

A mechanical bowstring release device automatically biased to the locked position having a hollow, preferably generally cylindrical housing having a central space along the length thereof and a bowstring retainer bar pivotably secured to the housing in the space. A string-retaining end of the bar extends into an opening in the front end of the housing. The bar also includes an opposite coupling end. The bar is pivotable between a bowstring-drawing locked position and a bowstring-releasing unlocked position. An elongated lever arm extends longitudinally of and is pivoted in the housing space, the rear portion thereof extending rearwardly of the housing, the front end thereof being adjacent and generally rearward of the retainer coupling end. One or more couplers connect the front end of the lever arm and the coupling end of the bar. A biasing spring automatically urges the front end of the arm into a position which locks the bar. Finger pressure against the arm rear end results in pivoting of that arm front end to cause movement of the couplers and bar coupling end to cause the bar to pivot into the unlocked string-releasing position. A retainer limit component is also present to prevent rotation of the retainer bar to an unlocked position unbiased by the biasing spring toward the locked position. The device operates smoothly in a safe efficient manner, and the retainer bar can be fully manipulated solely by the lever arm to couple the device to and uncouple it from a bowstring.

Release device

An improved mechanical bowstring release device has a hollow, preferably generally cylindrical housing having a central space defined by a pair of spaced flanges and a retainer bar pivotably secured to the housing in the space, one end of the bar projecting from the housing when the bar is pivoted into a bowstring-drawing locked position, the bar also being pivotable to a bowstring-releasing unlocked position. A link extends longitudinally of and is pivoted in the housing space and the rear portion thereof defines a V-shaped rearwardly facing receptacle into which is inserted the pointed front portion of a trigger arm. The arm is pivotably secured in the housing space and is rearwardly and laterally of the housing. Couplers connect the front end of the link and the coupling end of the bar. A spring urges the front end of the arm into a position which locks the bar. Finger pressure can pivot that arm front end to cause movement of the link, couplers and bar coupling end to cause the bar to pivot into the unlocked string-releasing position. The device operates smoothly in a safe efficient manner.

A unitary bowstring-holding member in the form of a frame having an integral pair of spaced, opposed resilient clamp jaws, the resiliency thereof being due to the nature of the frame. The device also includes a trigger member having a forked portion intercepting the frame and pivotably connected to one of the jaws, and a link pivotably connected to the other of the jaws and to the forked portion so that movement of the trigger member in a first direction (through the link) forces the jaws toward each other into a bowstring-holding closed position and so that movement of the trigger member in the opposite second direction permits sudden bowstring-releasing opening of the jaws.

Archery bow string release device

An improved archery bowstring release device is provided which includes a housing having a rear finger-receiving portion and a front portion, the latter with forwardly projecting flanges disposed in vertically spaced relation to define a longitudinal space therebetween. A bowstring draw cord defining a loop is preferably secured to the flanges and projects from the housing. A draw cord loop retainer is pivotally secured in the space to the flanges for movement between a locked bowstring-retaining position and an unlocked bowstring-releasing position. If desired, the retainer can be used directly to draw the bowstring rather than utilizing the draw cord, and the draw cord can then be removed from the device. The retainer projects laterally and rearwardly from the housing when in the locked position. A trigger mechanism is provided which comprises a coupler extending longitudinally in the space and pivotally connected to the flanges adjacent its rear end and to a link adjacent its front end, the link in turn being pivotally secured to the loop retainer. An elongated trigger arm extends longitudinally of the housing and is pivoted thereto so that its front end engages the rear end of the coupler. The arm's rear end extends rearwardly from the housing and is urgeable transversely of the housing by the archer's thumb to cause the front end thereof to force the coupler and link to rotate the retainer from the locked (cocked) position to the unlocked position, thus releasing the bowstring. The retainer can be easily manually moved back to the locked position. The device is inexpensive, durable and efficient, permitting easy, sure and highly accurate and reproducible drawing and shooting of archery arrows.
