A device for securing an eyewear lens to a nasal applique which results in nasal dilation. The device includes a base engageable with the eyewear lens. First and second pivot units are is coupled to the base pivotal about respective pivot axes. The pivot units collectively define a nose adjustment angle therebetween, with the nose adjustment angle being generally conformable to the user's nose. The first pivot unit and the second pivot unit are configured to interact with at least one nasal applique to magnetically couple the first pivot unit and the second pivot unit to the at least one nasal applique. The magnetic coupling between the first pivot unit and the second pivot unit and the at least one nasal applique imparts a dilating force on the user's nose to dilate the nasal passageway when the at least one nasal applique is attached to the user's nose.

Eyewear system for securing lens on a user's nose and dilating user's nose

A breathing system is provided which enhances the ability of a user to breathe through the user's nasal passageways. The breathing system generally includes a bridge member and a pair of nasal appliques which are attachable to the lateral portions of the user's nose. The bridge member is positionable adjacent the appliques to activate the system and impart a dilating force onto the user's nose. The system may be deactivated by removing the bridge member from the appliques, and thereby removing the dilating force from the user's nose.

Breathing system

A breathing enhancement system for use with eyewear having a compressible liner. The breathing enhancement system includes a pair of clips configured to be selectively attachable to the eyewear and adapted to compress the compressible liner when attached to the eyewear to define a compressed portion of the compressible liner. A clip liner is adapted to engage with and extend between the pair of clips, with the clip liner being configured to reside within the compressed portion of the compressible liner. A pair of nasal appliques are configured to be selectively placeable on respective lateral portions the nose of a user, with each nasal applique being adapted to be magnetically urged toward a respective one of the pair of clips in response to placement of the eyewear adjacent the nose of the user to cause the nasal passage of the user to open.

A nasal applique and corresponding applicator for placing the applique on the nose of a user. The applique includes a flexible body including a first surface and an opposing second surface with at least one perforation extending from the first surface to the second surface. The first surface includes an adhesive disposed thereon to enable the first surface to be selectively attachable to the nose of the wearer. A metallic element is coupled to the flexible body and is configured to interact with the magnet when the magnet is positioned adjacent the nose of the wearer and the flexible body is attached to the nose of the wearer. The interaction between the metallic element and the magnet imparts a dilating force on the nose of the wearer, which causes the nose of the wearer to dilate.

Provided is a goggle kit including a goggle clip attachable to the goggle frame, and a corresponding nose element, which adheres to the user's nose. The nose element and the goggle clip are configured to be detachably engageable therewith, such that when the nose element is placed on the user's nose and the goggle is placed over the user's eyes, the goggle clip and nose element may be engaged with each other, thereby urging the nasal opening of the user to dilate.

Provided is a helmet suspension system which is configured to mitigate rapid movements, i.e., acceleration and deceleration, of a user's head. The helmet suspension system connects to a base and a helmet worn by a wearer and allows for slow, safe movements of the helmet relative to the base, but restricts rapid and generally unsafe movements of the helmet relative to the base.

The invention provides a device for protecting ligaments in a knee joint of a user. The device includes a knee brace positionable about a knee joint of a user and a boot wearable on a foot of a user. Additionally, the device includes a flexible tether member including a first coupling element coupled to the knee brace and a second coupling element coupled to the boot. The boot and knee brace are attachable and detachable via the first and second coupling elements. The flexible tether member is adjustable in length to dispose the flexible tether member in tension at least in a portion of a maximum foot range of rotation, where the maximum foot range of rotation of the user's foot relative to the knee joint causes hyperextension of a knee ligament.

A hinge system for a knee brace features a flexion-extension regulating device which is adapted to engage an end portion of the knee brace's upper strut. An elongated main slot is formed through the regulating device to provide a fixed boundary for limiting range of motion. A motion limiting member is connected to the regulating device and is further adapted for connection to an end portion of the knee brace's lower strut. The motion limiting member includes a motion limiter that is disposed within the main slot. The motion limiter is caused to move therealong when the upper and lower struts pivot about a user's knee joint. By confining the motion limiter within the fixed boundary formed by the main slot, the hinge system ensures that the user's knee joint flexes and extends within the prescribed range of motion.
