A butt retrieval system having a butt retrieval receptacle supported outside the main footprint of an extrusion press such that maintenance and/or repair of the system is simplified. The butt retrieval system includes a butt retrieval receptacle moveable between a butt retrieving position and a butt unloading position. The butt retrieval receptable has a cantilevered arm extending from a base portion of the butt retrieval receptacle in a direction towards the centerline of the associated extrusion press.

Vertical growing uses a plurality of shelves to support plants. The system provides nitrogen and light to help grow the plants placed on the shelves. The system also circulates air that is filtered and mixed with the nitrogen before being distributed to the plants. The filters can remove odors from the circulating air.

The purified and filtered air is mixed with nitrogen, which is directed towards plants. The system can include lights to help grow the plants placed on the shelves. An onboard washing system provides the ability to wash specific areas at the rear of a concrete truck, without requiring an operator to climb a ladder or climb on the truck. Certain specified areas which are traditionally difficult to wash, including the inside of the charge hopper, the interior portions of the discharge chute, and rear portions of the mixing drum structure, can now be washed in an automated and efficient manner. The truck-mounted washing system has components which are specifically positioned to cause washing fluid (water) to be sprayed or directed toward predetermined areas in an efficient and effective manner. The system also includes hand-held washing wands or washing mechanisms, which allow an operator to easily reach additional zones or additional areas at the rear of the truck, which are lower. Most significantly, the truck-mounted wash systems and the hand-held nozzle systems (wand) are all operable while an operator remains on the ground.

Onboard wash system

A delivery chute for use on a concrete mixer truck has automated systems to allow for repositioning and reconfiguration without requiring an operator to manipulate components. The chute is configured to have multiple segments that can be folded/nested with one another for transport and can be positioned in an extended configuration thereby forming a continuous delivery surface for purposes of delivering concrete to a desired location. Powered mechanisms are used to reposition these segments, thus eliminating the need for operators to handle chute segments at all. A control system is provided to coordinate operation of components so proper sequences are followed during folding, unfolding, raising, lowering and swinging operations. An operator can control each of these operations using a remote control, having single buttons to carry out specific operations.

A fully automated container handling system for a refuse vehicle is provided that utilizes a vehicle-includes an extending, pivoting arm with a base equipped with a converging grabber to seize and empty the container. The base that grabs the container includes a sonar transducer that functions with a hydraulic system that operates the arm and grabber using a programmable mounted video camera which feeds video to a cab-mounted monitor to inform a driver of the location of a container of interest enabling accurate alignment of the vehicle. The system is operated by a single button in the cab and logic controller (PLC) computer program to run the hydraulic controls.

A fully automated container handling system for a refuse vehicle is provided that utilizes a vehicle-mounted video camera which feeds video to a cab-mounted monitor to inform a driver of the location of a container of interest enabling accurate alignment of the vehicle. The system is operated by a single button in the cab and includes an extending, pivoting arm with a base equipped with a converging grabber to seize and empty the container. An indicator assembly for attachment to a fishing rod, which assembly gives a positive, visual indication of a fish bite. The assembly, which may be semi-permanently or permanently mounted on a standard fishing rod, does not in its first, stored position, interfere with the normal use of the rod, being mounted thereon by means which permit conventional use of the rod. The assembly may be placed into use by merely unhooking a weight, which is carried by the mounting means and through which the fishing line is trained, permitting the weight to move, by gravity, from its first position, to a second, use position, spaced from the rod and whereby a portion of the fishing line is drawn away from the rod, the weight, in said second position, being shiftable in response to the bite of a fish on the line, to thereby visually signal said bite.

Fishing rod indicator assembly

A fish bit-indicator assembly adapted for use with an ordinary fishing rod and line comprises a weighted, slack ring device slidably attached to a stretch of the fishing line between guide ferrules of the rod and produces gravity-induced sagging of the line away from the rod in the absence of a fish bite when the rod is in a position tilted from vertical to create a slack section in the line along the rod. The slack ring holds the slack line section between the rod ferrules in tension and functions in response to even minute movement of the bait in any direction during a fish bite to sharply shift in elevation and thereby signal the bite, even when the line between the rod and the bait is swayed due to wind currents or water waves. A fishing tackle mounted rod support is provided for maintaining the rod in a desired tilted position when unattended in order to allow the slack ring to create a slack section in the line of optimum configuration for signaling the existence of a bite.
