A process and apparatus for dehydrating a wet natural gas feed stream using an inline passive dehydration tower containing a tray supporting a distribution bed of ceramic beads followed by a drying bed of calcium chloride prills that provides a dried outlet gas stream and a waste water outlet.

A computing device includes memory configured for storing executable instructions, a processor configured for executing the instructions, a foldable display layer configured for displaying information in response to the execution of the instructions, and a bend limit layer coupled to the foldable display layer and arranged substantially parallel to a display surface of the foldable display layer. The bend limit layer is configured to increase its stiffness non-linearly when a radius of a bend of the bend limit layer is less than a threshold radius of curvature of the foldable display layer, the threshold radius of curvature being greater than 1 mm and less than 20 mm.

An apparatus utilizes multiple strain gauge ('SG') sensing units which are each disposed adjacent an inner surface of the device housing. Electrical voltage generated by the SGs is amplified by one or more amplifiers to maximize the resolution between a voltage output of an SG when in a non-pressed state and a voltage output of the SG when in a pressed state. Additionally, an electronic circuit is configured to identify a baseline voltage output for an SG over a period of time for comparing to a voltage output for the SG when the SG is in a pressed state such that the pressed state of the SG can be identified by the electronic circuit by comparing a current output voltage of the SG to the identified baseline voltage.

Apparatus for sensing user input

Techniques of managing heat within an electronic device involve routing a flexible cable or a set of flexible cables within the electronic device to deliver heat to desired locations within the electronic device. Advantageously, it is possible to distribute heat uniformly while using existing components, thus not adding significantly to cost. Furthermore, the flexible cables may be routed in any way that accomplishes it goals of distributing heat and/or electricity.

Thermally conductive cables

A head mounted display device may include a housing, including a user-facing cavity and an electronics compartment. At least one fan may be installed in the electronics compartment. A plurality of intake ports may be defined in a peripheral wall portion of the user-facing cavity, and at least one air discharge port may be defined in a wall portion of the electronics compartment. A plurality of air channels may extend between the user-facing cavity and the electronics compartment. Operation of the at least one fan may draw external air into the housing through the plurality of air intake ports into the user&#x2014;facing cavity, and into the electronics compartment through the plurality of air channels, for discharge from the housing through the at least one discharge port, to provide cooling of the user-facing cavity and the electronics compartment.

A computing device includes a case enclosure, a heat-generating electrical component, and a thermal insulator. The thermal insulator has a first surface adhesively bonded to the surface of the case enclosure and has a second surface adhesively bonded to the surface of the heat-generating component. The thermal insulator includes a layer of thermally-insulating material between the first and second surfaces, and the thermally-insulating material has a thermal conductivity less than 35 mW/m-K.

An electronic device includes: a first body portion having a first face and a second face; a second body portion having a first face and a second face, the second body portion and the first body portion hinged to each other for the electronic device to define at least a first configuration where the first face of the first body portion is adjacent the first face of the second body portion, and a second configuration where the second face of the first body portion is adjacent the second face of the second body portion; a first magnet mounted to the first body portion; and a second magnet mounted to the second body portion, wherein the first magnet and the second magnet are separated by a common closest distance in the first configuration and in the second configuration.

An electronic device may include a printed circuit board (PCB) including at least one electronic component, and an electrically conductive enclosure surrounding the at least one electronic component to provide electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding for the at least one component. The electrically conductive enclosure may include a frame, made of a resilient, electrically conductive material, on a mounting surface of the PCB, surrounding the at least one component, and an electrically conductive shielding cover extending across an open top area defined by the frame. The frame may be attached to the PCB and the cover by an electrically conductive material to provide for electrical continuity. The frame may be made of a resilient, electrically conductive material so that the frame may compress in response to an externally applied force, and may return to an original, non-compressed form upon removal of the externally applied force.

Flexible electromagnetic interference (EMI) shield

An apparatus for sensing user input includes a first strain gauge grouping attached to an inner surface of a housing of a device, and a second strain gauge grouping attached to the inner surface of the housing. The apparatus includes a circuit coupled to the first and second strain gauge groupings, the circuit being configured to: (i) receive a first parameter signal from the first strain gauge grouping in response to user input that interacts with the housing over a location of the first strain gauge grouping, (ii) indicate that a first type of user input has been received in response to receipt of the first parameter signal, (iii) receive a second parameter signal from the second strain gauge grouping in response to user input that interacts with the housing over a location of the second strain gauge grouping, and (iv) indicate that a second type of user input has been received in response to receipt of the second parameter signal.

Techniques of managing heat within an electronic device involve providing a vapor chamber in a ring shape within an electronic device. In some implementations, the vapor chamber forms an outer case wall of an enclosure of the electronic device. In further implementations, the vapor chamber has a fill port attached to the inner edge of the vapor chamber. Advantageously, by using a vapor chamber with a ring geometry in an electronic device according to the improved techniques, a form factor of the electronic device (e.g., a laptop, a tablet, etc.) is not affected by the introduction of the vapor chamber as an outer case wall.

Electronic circuit and method to account for strain gauge variation

A method of data storage management. A server receives a data upload request from a remote client, the upload request including information identifying the data to be uploaded. The server determines that a duplicate of the data is stored at a data storage device. The server receives proof of possession information derived by the client from the data using additional information known to the server. On the basis of the received information, the server determines whether to allow the client or a user associated with the client to subsequently access the duplicate data stored at the data storage device.

A game for children for aiding them in learning their arithmetic tables, particularly multiplication, the game includes a game board with a centrally located transparent hemispheric shell mounted on a flexible leaf spring, a plurality of dice which are contained within the hemisphere then become changed in position by depressing and releasing the hemispheric shell and a peg board with associated pegs for scoring correct answers to the changed dice by one or the other of two players. The game board includes a receptacle for storage of the pegs, the receptacle having a slide cover on which the arithmetic tables are set forth for verifying the answer of the player whose turn it is to provide the correct answer to the arithmetic operation displayed.
