A landing arrangement of an elevator system includes a plurality of landing bays, at least two landing bays of the plurality of landing bays overlapping, and a plurality of landing door sets. Each landing door set of the plurality of landing door sets corresponds to a landing bay of the plurality of landing bays. At least two landing door sets of the plurality of landing door sets are interconnected such that opening a first landing door set of the plurality of landing door sets urges the at least partial opening of a second landing door set adjacent to the first landing door set.

System and method of unlocking and opening multiple panel elevator doors

A coupler device of a door coupler engageable with a vane member includes a housing, a shaft rotatable about an axis, and at least one rotary magnet arranged within an interior of the housing. The at least one rotary magnet is coupled to the shaft. The coupler device is transformable between an off configuration and an on configuration and the coupler device is magnetically couplable with the vane member when in the on configuration.

Disclosed is an elevator system having: a door panel configured for moving along a first axis for opening and closing of the door panel at an entryway, the door panel having a door magnet, the entryway including a sill, the sill having a sill magnet, wherein the door magnet and the sill magnet are configured for forming a first magnetic pairing, and wherein the first magnetic pairing guides the door panel to move along the first axis and prevents the door panel from moving in a lateral direction with respect to the first axis.
