A motor driving assembly includes a motor. The motor includes an outer housing, and a rotor and a brush holder received in the outer housing. The rotor includes a rotary shaft extending out of the outer housing. A commutator is fixed on a shaft portion of the rotary shaft within the outer housing. Brushes for contacting the commutator are disposed on the brush holder. A visible identification mark fixed relative to the rotary shaft is disposed outside the outer housing of the motor, such that a relative position between the brushes and the commutator in a rotational direction of the rotary shaft is identifiable by reference to a position of the visible identification mark relative to the outer housing in the rotational direction of the rotary shaft. As such, the commutator can be prevented from stalling at a position where arcing noise may be easily generated.

Motor driving assembly

A PMDC motor includes a housing, a stator magnet fixed to the inner circumferential surface of the housing, a rotor core received in the housing and facing the stator magnet, and rotor windings wound around the rotor core. The rotor core includes a plurality of rotor teeth, each of the rotor teeth including a tooth body and a tooth tip. A ratio of the outer diameter of the rotor core to an outer diameter of the housing is in the range of 0.6 to 0.67. Compared to the existing PMDC motor, the PMDC motor of the present invention can satisfy the same performance requirement, while reducing the size and weight of the rotor core and hence the weight of the rotor windings. In this way, the total weight and hence the moment of inertia of the rotor is reduced, thereby effectively reducing the noise generated during operation of the motor.

Permanent magnet direct current motor and HVAC system using the same

A driving device includes a motor and a gearbox. The gearbox includes a first sun gear, first planetary gears surrounding and engaged with the first sun gear, and a first internal gear ring surrounding and engaged with the first planetary gears. The first sun gear is coaxially fixed to a rotary shaft of the motor. Meshing planes of the first sun gear and the first planetary gears are slanted with respect to the rotary shaft. Each of the first planetary gears is subjected to an externally-exerted first force and exerts a transverse component of force toward the rotary shaft on the first sun gear. The motor structure of the driving device is simplified, which makes the driving device have a more compact structure, lighter weight and lower cost.

Driving device having motor and gearbox

An electric motor for a blower and the like has a commutator and a brush assembly for making electrical contact with the commutator. The brush assembly includes a brush holder and a brush slidably mounted to the brush holder. The brush holder includes a brush holder plate and a side portion extending from the brush holder plate. The brush is arc-shaped and includes a first surface contacting the brush holder plate and a second surface contacting the side portion of the brush holder. The side portion of the brush holder has a number of ribs contacting the second surface of the brush.

Electric motor

An electric motor has a stator, a rotor rotatable with respect to the stator, motor windings, a connection plate electrically connected to the motor windings, and a power lead for connecting the motor to a power source. The power lead is connected to the connection plate by an electrical connection and by a separate mechanical connection. The mechanical connection protects the electrical connection from vibration or movement which may otherwise break the electrical connection.

Electric motor with reliable wire connection

An electric motor includes a stator and a rotor. The stator includes a motor housing with an open end and an end cover mounted to the open end. The rotor includes a rotor shaft that extends through the end cover. The end cover includes a bearing that supports the rotor shaft. The rotor shaft and motor housing are made of an electrically conductive material and are electrically connected with each other. The motor housing, end cover, bearing and rotor shaft cooperatively form an electromagnetic shield suppressing electromagnetic interference generated by the motor. Optionally, the rotor shaft drives a coaxial worm shaft of a gearbox by an insulating member, which further suppresses electromagnetic interference.

Motor and Actuator

An electric motor has an end cap assembly having a ground connection. The motor has a housing, a brush assembly including brushes, electrical components and a terminal holder, an end cap, and a ground plate. The brush assembly is secured in an open end of the housing. The end cap is positioned on an outer side of the brush assembly and fixed to the housing. The ground plate is disposed between and is resiliently compressed by the brush assembly and the end cap. The plate includes a plurality of elastic structures. Each elastic structure resiliently bears against corresponding leads of at least some of the electrical components. The ground plate is electrically connected to at least one of the housing and the end cap to accomplish a ground connection.

A fastening device for a rolling bearing includes a bearing mounting portion disposed at an end of a motor housing, a rolling bearing received in the mounting portion, and a retainer ring disposed between an inner peripheral surface of the mounting portion and a peripheral surface of an outer ring of the rolling bearing. The rolling bearing is fastened to the motor housing by the retainer ring. The retainer ring is resiliently deformable in the radial direction of the rolling bearing.

A commutator includes a first body and a second body which are separately made of electrically insulating material, a plurality of commutator segments fixed on an outer surface of the first body and a plurality of commutator terminals. The first body is a hollow cylinder with two opposite ends. Each terminal has a contact area for contacting a corresponding one of the commutator segments. The second body has a base and a ring wall extending from the base, and one end of the first body is received in a space defined by the base and the ring wall, with the contact area of each terminal being in tight contact with the corresponding commutator segment at the inner side of the ring wall.

Commutator

A commutator () for a brush motor includes a cylindrical insulating base (), a plurality of segments () disposed on an outer surface () of the insulating base (), circumferentially spaced from each other, and defining a plurality slots () between adjacent segments (), and a plurality of insulating outgas elements () capable of releasing a gas having a lower conductivity than air and disposed on the outer surface () of the cylindrical insulating base (). Each outgas element () is located between a corresponding pair of the plurality of segments (), having a gas releasing surface () between the corresponding pair of segments () and lower than outer surfaces () of the corresponding pair of segments (). A method for making a commutator is also provided.

Brush motor commutator with spark suppression and method for making the same

A thrust bearing assembly for supporting an end surface against an axial load, includes a first part with a chamber; a second part disposed in the chamber and having a load surface facing the end surface; and a third part fixed with the first part and spaced from the second part. A reservoir for storing lubricant is formed in the chamber between the second part and third part. A narrow passage communicates the reservoir with the load surface to allow the lubricant to flow from the reservoir to the load surface to lubricate the interface between the load surface and the end surface when the axial load rotates.

Thrust bearing assembly

An electric motor has a stator, a shaft and a rotor. The stator has an annular yoke portion; a plurality of stator teeth inwardly extending from the yoke portion; stator windings wound on the stator teeth; and a molded member made of heat conductive plastic material. The molded member has a plurality of fins arranged on an outer wall of the yoke portion, a covering portion disposed in the spaces between adjacent stator teeth, and two connecting portions respectively located at axially outer end faces of the yoke portion and connected to the covering portion and the fins. The covering portion covers an inner wall of the yoke portion and the stator windings, and connects to the fins via the connecting portions. Heat generated by the stator windings is transmitted to the fins via the covering portion and the connecting portions, where it is dissipated.

A motor for a fuel pump includes a rotor which includes a shaft, a rotor core and a commutator fitted on the shaft. The rotor core is formed by stacking together a plurality of aligned laminations and includes a plurality of salient poles arranged along a circumference thereof. A center line of gravity of the rotor deviates from a rotational axis of the rotor. The rotor core has a first groove in one of the poles close to the center line of gravity of the rotor. The first groove extends from a first axial end of the rotor core to an axial middle portion of the rotor core.

Fuel pump motor

A power tool has a handle and a body. The handle is provided with a battery. A motor is fixed inside a shell of the tool. An impeller is driven by the motor to create an air current to cool the motor and the battery. A plurality of air outlets are formed in the shell at a position corresponding to the impeller. An air current channel is formed inside the handle and the body and connected to the environment via holes in an enclosure of the battery. A part of the air current passes through the air current channel to cool the battery before reaching the motor.

Power tool

An electric motor has a stator and a rotor rotatably installed in the stator. The stator includes a housing, a plurality of magnets installed at an inner surface of the housing, a brush card installed inside of the housing, brushes mounted on the brush card, lead wires for connecting to a power source and feeding power to the brushes, and an end cap attached to an end of the housing and covering the brushes. The rotor includes a shaft, a commutator fixed on the shaft, a rotor core fixed on the shaft and a winding wound on the rotor core and connected to the commutator. An EMI suppression component is mounted on the brush card and covered by the end cap, and the lead wires extends through the EMI suppression component.
