A system and a method for validating items gathered (i.e., picked) as part of a logistics process are disclosed. The picking system uses one or more sensors to sense the physical attributes of an item (e.g., weight, color, size/shape, etc.). The sensed-physical attributes are compared to expected-physical attributes stored for the item. Based on the comparison, a user may receive feedback confirming or rejecting the picked item. In some embodiments, the picking system uses the collected physical data to improve, or add to, the expected-physical attributes. The picking system may also be integrated with a powered-industrial vehicle and/or a warehouse management system to improve usability and effectiveness.

System and method for picking validation

An industrial vehicle positioning system and method are presented. The system includes a first imaging subsystem for acquiring a first indicia image and a second imaging subsystem for acquiring a second indicia image. An image analysis subsystem is configured for analyzing the first indicia image to acquire a first location designation, and for analyzing the second indicia image to acquire a second location designation. A processor is configured for determining the location of the industrial vehicle based upon the first location designation and the second location designation.

Industrial vehicle positioning system and method

A docking station to secure and charge a portable computer such as a hand held terminal to allow the operator to easily and quickly remove the portable computer. When the docking station is energized, an electromagnetic contact is capable of magnetically retaining the portable computer. Upon activation of a release on either the portable computer or the docking station, the electromagnetic contact is de-energized and the portable computer is detached. In an exemplary embodiment, the docking station is mounted on a vehicle and the electromagnetic contact receives power from the battery of the vehicle when the vehicle is in motion. When the vehicle is halted and turned off, the electromagnetic contact may be de-energized but the portable computer may still be held in place by a mechanical retention port.

Quick release dock system and method

A system and method display information using a vehicle-mount computer. The system includes: (i) a computer touch screen for inputting and displaying information; (ii) a motion detector for detecting vehicle motion; and (iii) a vehicle-mount computer in communication with the computer touch screen and the motion detector. The vehicle-mount computer includes a central processing unit and memory. The vehicle-mount computer's central processing unit is configured to store information associated with user-selected information from the computer touch screen. Further, the vehicle-mount computer's central processing unit is configured to receive vehicle-motion information from the motion detector. Moreover, the vehicle-mount computer's central processing unit is configured to control the display of a zoomed view of the user-selected information on the computer touch screen in response to the motion detector's detection of motion.

System and method for display of information using a vehicle-mount computer

A junction box for electrical outlets provides a 'U' shaped body defined by vertical side walls and a rear wall. Top and bottom horizontal end walls are pivotally secured to the rear wall by end tabs extending through slots defined in the rear wall adjacent its upper and lower edges. Protuberances and tabs formed by both side walls releasably secure the end walls in operative position therebetween. The 'U' shaped body has resilience to flex outwardly to enable the end walls to pivot inwardly in the box to aid placement of electrical conduit.

Electrical junction box with manipulatable ends

A knock-down container or bin of the type used to transport fruits and vegetables from the field to produce processing and packing plants is molded of plastic and consists of four identical sides and a bottom. When erected, the containers may be stacked. When detached, the sides nest, preferably with the bottom, for transportation and storage. The bottom is square and is flat on top and formed with reticulated reinforcing ribs on the bottom; on each edge is a projecting lip section. Each side has reinforcing ribs on its exterior. The bottom edge of each side is thickened and has spaced projections with a groove above the projections into which fits the projecting lip of one edge of the bottom. At each end of the side is a post, one post being formed with a rabbet and also carrying three vertically spaced fastener elements. The other post is shaped to fill the rabbet and has sockets to receive the fastener elements. The bottom edge of each side has a foot on each end and a foot in the middle to support the bottom above the ground. A skid fits under the feet.
