A golf tee that includes a stake that has an insertion end and a crown for supporting a golf ball. The crown is supported by the stake opposite the insertion end. The crown has a plurality of external prongs, a cup portion defined between the plurality of external prongs, and at least one internal post that extends from a base of the cup portion. The internal post is disposed on the base of the cup portion between the plurality of external prongs.

A golf tee has a stake made of a rigid material such as a rigid polymer, combined with a flexible crown with flexible projections and possibly also a flexible pivot point. This reduces resistance at impact, producing less friction and low ball spin. As a result, distance and accuracy are improved. The fusion of the rigid and flexible materials provides a tee that can tolerate repeated hits and be used over and over.

A golf tee has a stake made of a first material and a crown made of a second material more flexible than the first material, in which the crown is overmolded over the stake. The crown and the stake can have corresponding projections. The stake can have projections to allow the crown and the stake to hold together better.

A golf cleat of the type having a base member and a plurality of outwardly angled traction teeth with the traction teeth having multifaceted design, and a mounting arrangement on the underside of the base member. The mounting arrangement includes a mounting stud having a multi-start thread and at least one locking post which coact with annular locking formations in the receptacle to thereby provide a stud having a multi-start thread complementary to the multi-start thread of the socket or receptacle whereby a simple quarter-turn of the cleat is fitted in its place with the locking formations on the thread engaged with the quadrant post to retain the cleat in the socket.
