An orthopedic device has an elongate, tubular body defining a patella opening located generally at a center portion of the tubular body. A patella buttress including a buttress pocket is located on the tubular body and about the patella opening. The buttress pocket has various stretchability characteristics relative to the tubular body. A buttress element is associated with the buttress pocket.

An orthopedic device has a main body panel including a longitudinal length with a curved cross-section, and opposed lateral and medial sides. A posterior panel is secured to the lateral and medial sides of the main body panel, and is sized longitudinally shorter than the main body panel in a non-stretched condition. The posterior panel is secured to the main body panel in a pretensioned condition and spans the longitudinal length of the main body panel along the lateral and medial sides thereof.

A method is provided of enhancing the herbicidal activity of a glyphosate herbicide, comprising adding to the glyphosate herbicide a mixture of a first surfactant and a second surfactant at a weight ratio of total surfactant to glyphosate of about 1:30 to about 2:1, wherein the first surfactant has a chemical structure comprising a cationic or protonatable amino group and a Clinear or branched, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbyl group, and the second surfactant has the formulaR&#x2014;CO&#x2014;NR'&#x2014;(CR&#x2032;)&#x2014;COOMwhere R is a Clinear or branched, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbyl group, n is 1 to 4, M is hydrogen or a cationic counterion, and R&#x2032; groups are each independently hydrogen, Calkyl or a group &#x2014;(CH)&#x2014;COOM where m is 1 to 4 and M is as defined immediately above, with the proviso that no more than one R&#x2032; group is such a group &#x2014;(CH)&#x2014;COOM; the weight ratio of the first to the second surfactant being about 1:10 to about 10:1. Also provided is a herbicidal composition prepared according to the above method. The first and second surfactants exhibit a synergistic interaction in enhancing herbicidal activity of the glyphosate herbicide.

Enhanced method of killing weeds with glyphosate herbicide

A vehicular 'black box' provides recording means by which driver action can be reviewed after an accident or collision, as well as indicating immediate vehicle disposition status to the driver. Using cameras (which may be very small), the disposition of the vehicle in its lane is determined by detecting the highway lines painted on the road. Method of providing mental stimulus to a cognitively impaired subject

There is provided a method of rapidly relieving pain in a mammalian, preferably human, subject. The method comprises orally administering to the subject an effective pain-relieving amount of a composition comprising celecoxib formulated in such a way as to provide, when tested in fasting humans in accordance with standard pharmacokinetic practice, a blood plasma concentration profile of celecoxib in which a concentration of about 250 ng/ml is attained not later than about 30 minutes after oral administration.

There are provided compositions of certain polyoxyalkylene alkylamine surfactants having eye irritation reduced by the addition of an effective amount of a sulfated polyoxyalkylene alkylphenol, alcohol sulfate, polyoxyalkylene alcohol sulfate, mono- or dialcohol phosphate, mono- or di-(polyoxyalkylene alcohol) phosphate, polyoxyalkylene alkylphenol carboxylate or polyoxyalkylene alcohol carboxylate surfactant. Also provided are pesticidal, particularly herbicidal, compositions comprising polyoxyalkylene alkylamine surfactants having eye irritation reduced by addition of these eye irritation reducing compounds.
