An apparatus for shifting the center of gravity of a vehicle includes a master cylinder assembly with motor, gearbox and position sensing encoder; a slave cylinder hydraulically connected with the master cylinder and connected with one or more of the vehicle's shock and spring assemblies to, upon actuation of the motor, vary the distance between the upper shock casing and the lower piston end: a driver control assembly including one or more actuator paddles connected behind the outer grip of the steering wheel: and, a control unit having computer programming to receive and issue data and instructions and being operationally connected between the driver control assembly and the master cylinder to actuate the motor upon movement of one or more of the paddles.

Apparatus and method for shifting the center of gravity in a vehicle

The present invention relates to a door operating system for controlling the movement of a door, the system having a motor with a motor shaft for providing rotational energy to the system and a gear chain assembly for receiving the rotational energy from the motor shaft and applying the received rotational energy to the door to move the door, comprising a sprocket rotatably mounted on the gear chain assembly for rotation around an axis of the gear chain assembly and fixedly coupled to the motor shaft for receiving and transmitting the rotational energy from the motor shaft; a drive pin fixedly disposed on the sprocket for rotational movement around the axis of the gear chain assembly as the sprocket rotates around the axis; a rotational energy receiving extension rotatably mounted on the gear chain assembly and drivingly coupled to the door for moving the door; a drive dog fixedly disposed on the energy receiving extension for rotational movement around the axis of the gear chain assembly as the energy receiving extension rotates around the axis; and the sprocket and the extension being disposed on the gear chain assembly such that rotational movement of the sprocket causes the drive pin to rotatably move into contact with the drive dog and apply rotational energy to the drive dog thereby transmitting rotational energy to the door when rotating in one direction and moving away from the drive dog when rotating in the other direction.

Door operating system

Non-invasive oximetry wherein red and infrared light from light sources energized at different frequencies is applied to arterial blood-containing tissue of a living subject. The red and infrared light coming from this tissue is sensed in order to obtain frequency-muliplexed information as to the absorption of said light by said tissue, the information being processed in order to derive therefrom a measure of percent oxygen saturation of said blood. The processing includes filtering for separating information represented by red light absorption from information represented by infrared light absorption. In particular, both notch and bandpass filters are used, and AM detectors provide for further separating such information into DC and AC components.

Pulse oximetry

Images of underwater features, animate and inanimate, are produced from substantial distances in any direction around a boat, using small and easily mountable sonar devices, including three sonar transducers, two being stationary and the third being directable, the transducers being operable at various ultrasonic frequencies. Under keyboard control and using completely integrated electronic circuitry, images and echo sounding reports are generated on a graphic video display. The images include a sector-shaped image from a sector scan which covers a selected range of azimuth angles at a selected down angle.

A battering charging system is controlled by a microprocessor to charge and discharge batteries while periodically effecting monitoring and control operations in which battery current data are registered to accumulate capacity data in a memory and to thereafter display such data which includes both charge and discharge capacity data. The system has different modes of operation which may be selected by a user, including a charge mode, a discharge mode and an autocycle mode. In the autocycle mode, efficiency rate data is computed and displayed.

A battery charger system is provided in which a microprocessor is used to discontinue application of a high charge current when the battery voltage drops below a peak value by a value greater than a threshold value corresponding to stored digital data. The microprocessor is also used to obtain a discharge mode of operation and an autocycle mode of operation in which a charge operation is performed after a discharge operation, the microprocessor being responsive to actuation of keys of a keyboard. In performing various operations, the microprocessor is used in performing analog-to-digital conversions and it is additionally used in computing energy capacity and efficiency.
