Certain aspects relate to systems and techniques for an orthopedic treatment system. In one aspect, the system includes a body unit configured to attach to an orthopedic bone plate, an electromagnetic field emitter positioned within the body unit, the electromagnetic field emitter configured to project an electromagnetic field at a therapeutic frequency for a therapeutic duration. The system may further include an internal power source positioned within the body unit, the internal power source configured to provide electrical current to the electromagnetic field emitter. The system may also include a receiving coil positioned within the body unit, the receiving coil configured to receive power from an external power source, the external power source positioned outside the body unit.

The position of a radio frequency identification (RFID) transponder may be determined with respect to a plurality of stationary sensors located in an array within certain physical areas. Each sensor comprises a plurality of antenna coils arranged in unique physical orientations and capable of transmitting radio frequency signals of differing phase. The RFID transponder includes an antenna which receives the plurality of signals generated by the antenna coils, and compares the phase of at least two of the signals to determine the relative position of the transponder. The location of the transponder with respect to two or more sensor(s) may also be determined through measurement of the intensity of the signals received by the antenna coil of the transponder. The system and method may also transmit data between a sensor and a dormant (motionless) RFID transponder using a hand-held high intensity RF probe.

System and method for communicating with dormant radio frequency identification tags

A system and method for determining the position of a radio frequency identification (RFID) transponder with respect to a sensor. In one embodiment, the system comprises a plurality of stationary sensors located in an array within certain physical areas. Each sensor comprises a plurality of antenna coils arranged in unique physical orientations and capable of transmitting radio frequency signals of differing phase. The RFID transponder includes an antenna which receives the plurality of signals generated by the antenna coils, and compares the phase of at least two of the signals to determine the relative position of the transponder. In a second aspect of the invention, the aforementioned antenna coils emit two direction finding mode (DFM) signals in succession; the first signal with all antenna coils turned on, the second with one of the coils turned off. The spatial relationship of the transponder antenna and individual antenna coils precludes all of the signals in each sensor from being rejected by the transponder during emission of both the first and second DFM signal. Hence, the transponder is kept in constant communication with the sensor in all orientations. In another embodiment, the location of the transponder with respect to two or more sensor(s) is determined through measurement of the intensity of the signals received by the antenna coil of the transponder. The invention also includes a system and method for transmitting data between a sensor and a dormant (motionless) RFID transponder using a hand-held high intensity RF probe.

Earth working apparatuses and more specifically a ditcher or slope cutting device adapted to be connected with a conventional three point hitch mounted at the rear of a conventional tractor. The earth working apparatus includes a rigid square or rectangular frame having pairs of pivot lugs spaced laterally on a front member thereof for pivotal connection to the lower links or arms of a three point hitch and a pair of centrally located upwardly disposed pivot lugs pivotally supporting an upright member having its upper end connected to the upper link or arm of the three point hitch. A hydraulic ram or mechanical structure interconnects the frame at a point spaced rearwardly from the front and an upper end portion of the upwardly extending member in order to adjust the angular relation between the frame and the upwardly extending member and angularly adjust the frame in relation to the three point hitch and in relation to the ground surface. The frame includes one or more ground engaging blades which are supported from the frame for adjustable rotatable or pivotal movement in relation to the frame and ground surface, by a hydraulic ram or mechanical structure, about an axis that is perpendicular to the frame thereby enabling adjustment of the plane of contact with the ground surface to be varied as to its angle of inclination due to the capability of varying the angular relation of the frame to the ground surface and the change in angular disposition of the blade or blades in relation to the frame about an axis perpendicular to the frame.

Ditcher

A spreader/grader attachable to a three point hitch of a tractor and including a pair of longitudinally extending, parallel, transversely spaced side pans or frame members oriented in fixed relation to each other and operatively connected to a three point hitch. Extending between the side pans or frame members is a plurality of transverse blades for engaging a soil surface in order to perform various earth working functions. The blades include a support structure and attachment arrangement at each end thereof for connection with the side pans or frame members to enable the blades to be oriented in a fixed or varied relation to the frame members or adjustable in relation to the frame members to orient either end of a blade forwardly or rearwardly in relation to the other end and either end of the blade upwardly or downwardly in relation to the other end and to vary the angle of a blade about a longitudinal axis with respect to a horizontal plane to vary the angle of attack of the blade in relation to the soil surface in order to provide effective grading, spreading and other earth working functions.

Spreader/grader with adjustable transverse blades

A spreader/grader is attachable to a three-point hitch associated with a tractor and includes a pair of curved cutting blades which are adjustable so as to control cutting depth. The cutting blades are mounted between a pair of side runners and include curved cutting edges to facilitate spreading or grading operations. The positioning of the blades is variable both with respect to cutting depth and to angular orientation with the surface being graded through the use of hydraulic ram adjustment mechanisms provided at respective ends of the blades. Both blades may be attached to the spreader/grader so as to present cutting edges directed in the same direction and their respective cutting depths may be varied from each other through the use of the hydraulic ram adjustment mechanisms, or alternatively, one or both of the blades may be positioned with their cutting edges reversely directed from the direction of forward movement of the pulling tractor so as to provide a grading or feathering operation.
